Balance bombs and artillery by improving fortifications

In fact, what I hope most is that they can protect my soldiers in the open area.Should let 30%~40% of my soldiers can survive shelling and air strikes by hiding in bunkers, not completely destroyed.Only in this way can the bomb will not be weakened all the time.Eventually become a toy.

The air raid is a good example. Its bomb changed from 100kg to 50kg, so that it has little effect now, and even became a delicious dessert for fighter planes.

Air strikes are interesting, but a better balance may be to let engineers build bunkers instead of weakening them. And the infantry, as the protagonist of the game, has no way to deal with these tricks. Isn’t it ironic?

I agree.

Additionally, something I think everyone needs to stop and think about:

Stronger defenses that protect against shelling and bombs means a much higher focus on positioning. Being able to survive it if you move position to position, and if you get caught out in the open for too long (like an idiot), you get wiped out by the explosions. It simply promotes more strategic gameplay.

Yes, actually it IS necessary to have 10 sandbag walls.

  • Covering windows alone can take quite a few.
  • Setting up shooting platforms on the floor behind a fortified window takes another one or two sandbag walls.
  • Setting up external fortifications usually takes 2-3 sandbags.
  • Double stacking sandbag walls (if they bring it back) requires 2 per section.
  • Properly protecting a rally point takes an average of 2 sandbag walls.
  • Need I go on?

Before you ask if it’s necessary to have 10 barbwires, let me address that for you too.

  • Arguably the BEST way to use barbwire is to use it in trenches across open areas, creating a hazard that then produces effective killzones and chokepoints.

  • While this is not ALWAYS an option, it is fairly often, especially on Campaigns like Moscow, Tunisia, and especially Normandy.

  • It takes time to set as it requires you to dig the trenches, but also often requires a LOT of barbwire. I usually use all 10 of my barbwires this way.
