So I go on my way to train a 4 star soldier because I had 3 3 star soldier and though I wanted to make an Ubermensch Assaulter. Well guess what, out of the 4 perks you can choose only 1 was one of the 3 usefull ones. I didnt get the +200% medpack perk or the +100% ammo perk, so that was a complete waste of good 3 star assaulters.
Why cant the best soldiers actually CHOOSE the perks they want instead of getting some random useless perks?
Also, to OP:
You used 5 fist perk slots on the reload perk, meaning you can’t get the extra ammo perk anymore as it costs fist perk slots as well. (or at least, I think. Let me make a chart)
Yes. They need to take these stupid and pointless elements of RNG out of the game, instead of being randomly given perks to choose from, you get to choose yourself. Of course, by doing this, no one will choose the stupidly useless perks anymore. so to compensate I suggest perk points. you level a soldier as you do now, with random perks, BUT, once you max out a soldier, you can get perk points for every 4k experience points. and with these, you can choose which perk to choose, and by doing so, you consume a perk point, or multiple, depending on which perk it is.
When your soldier is on the max level - all exp received is going for respec perks, meaning next level after last star will give you 1 respec point. Amount of these points is shown in the skills menu. Once you have 1 reset point - click on any already obtained skills, single click will reset it and force skill choice window.
