Hope I’m not as unlucky with this as I am for the daily drops…

Yeah that is the only scary part, the random chance for it.

Well for me it’s just a beautiful and historical gun, plus my idol used one himself.
I made it to the 1st portrait unlock and got 2 event weapon unlocks and i remeber getting only 1 30% xp boost. Im really curious if its actually random order or not.
I think its a usage/map dependant gun. I am sure 9n a map with clear sight lines and Bolts being OHK monsters, you could kill just fine with it.
I know personally I would probably average 10 to 12 kills per mag given the right opportunity.
SMGs are great but its knife fighting range and your survival rate is not as high as it would be on the midrange.
it might be 100 rounds if you combine it with a large ammo bag

How does it compare with the pacific premium one from the release pack? (Both have 20 rounds)
I had time to get 2 as well. Once you reach 12x5000, it’s not that you must wait a day for a reset… It’s just the milestone for the portrait!
I’m at a loss however… in WHICH campaign should I get the rifles? All in one? 3 different campaigns? And the tommy… Pacific OR Normandy???
Decisions, decisions…
So far I’ve opted for my 2 to be in Stalingrad.
Second to the Pacific Campaign its the one where I play with the most Bolt actions. So for now that’s probably where I will put them.
The next two that I get? No idea lol.
Maybe Normandy because it has long sight lines for many maps, so I can take advantage of that. Or in Berlin to mix in with one of my big squads.
I can say from playing with it for a few matches, it is a lot of fun, very accurate, and OHK everytime.
The lack of dispersion and large mag make it absolutely deadly.

You can have those in Pacific? I thought we could only get the Tommy here. Didn’t know German rifles could go to Japaneses.
Pacific is not that costly to play. It doesn’t matter what I unlock, I merely bough a bunch of Arisaka type38 rifles (not starter carbines) and I’m having fun (and even dominate?) A real Japanese soldier charge with bayonets (or swords, I’ll buy a bunch of those too)!

I think you might have misread what I wrote.
They are in stalingrad because I like thr bolt play there. Its the second most favored campaign by me to play with almost pure BA squads.

Oh yes you’re right, my bad.
This helps me choose however. Berlin is out of the question. I already have my chad Lebel squad (I’ll NEVER remove it from my lineup) and the gerat squad (probably misspelled it). In a such automatics heavy campaign, I can’t really afford to use more bolts without handicapping myself.
In Tunisia: Might be an option, but the Italian rifles are very unique already (even if not the best) so I’m covered here.
In Moscow: bolt action is extremely enjoyable here. Lots of dark buildings to hide in and shoot from… but it’s becoming very automatics heavy. I’ll still get at least one g98 here.
Normandy: the pace is very fast, even if bolties work extremely well, I feel I need automatics more here.
Stalingrad: Long roads. Sniper paradise. Not that much cover… ok, I’ll get 2 here as well. Can’t wait for Traktor factory to relive that RO2 feel, shooting through tiny holes, or under half closed garage doors…
That covers it! I’ll probably just give the Tommy to my Pacific marines.

Yeah that was along my thought process as well to be honest.
Though I doubt I’ll snag a Tommy, there is really no appeal for me honestly. I use my browning squads way more there.
If I manage to snag 2 more orders ill probably get 2 more Rifles and put them in Stalingrad as well.

As an owner of both, I’d say the Tommy 30-06 is superior.
Both are excellent SMGs that fire fast, hit hard and have a very comfortable sight, and the recoil doesn’t really matter if you get used to fire in short bursts (which you should, to get the most out of the small mags), but the 30-06 has significantly higher muzzle speed and apparently better accuracy, both of which noticeably improve mid-range performances.
Basically it’s sort of a sidegrade of an M2 carbine, trading a smaller mag for much better sight and recoil control (which is actually a big upgrade).
You can use it effectively as a baby BAR. I just had a match in Pacific where I gave it to a medic and at mid match, rather than storming caps, I started playing support by sitting some 30-50m back and targeting enemy reinforcements crossing open areas. It was a joy because my bursts flew fast, flat and grouped. Enemy soldiers fell like pins in a bowling alley. (A few trips to nearby ammo crates were necessary, tho.)
Somehow that single medic’s kill streak hit 30+ before someone put together enough brain cells to take me down, so in all fairness I guess it was mostly or all bots.

I used to be that way, but then I decided I could do some crazy things if I grouped together special weapons to make my own Psudeo premium squads so I did.
I have an Engineer squad in Stalingrad with 4 x MKB(W), I have an assault squad in Moscow with 4 x ERMA EMP Silenced (sooooo much trolling fun) ect ect.
So I’ve stopped catching them all and started doing things differently.
I dont doubt that the Tommy is good, and if I could get 8 orders I’d do both, but my love of Bolts means my ‘fun’ is better served by 4 of these than the SMG.
