I’d love it if you could point to this or if a helper could reiterate it. I’ve only seen a few people mention it as you have but not any official word.
(also, I’m extremely skeptical that this is how it works… whether intentional or by mistake).

Same. As a solo player i get matched against teams frequently, so someone joining an open team absolutely should be matched with a real team before i am, at least.
Also, side note: what is the point of joining a random team? I did it by accident this week for the first time (lazy clicking in the vicinity of the start button) and didn’t notice until numbered enemy markers started showing up. We did win, and I don’t THINK we were matched against another team (if so, they were not very good).

Absolutely no point other than at least obfuscating how messed up matchmaking is. At best.

The random group is for players without ingame friends: they can form a group with random players so they communicate vocally.
Recently this was confirmed by the helper, but it was also written before that.

Thanks for the link. I remain skeptical. It serves NO purpose for the player.
If they wanted to make things viable for players, allow us to chat with friends or lobby outside of matches so we can at least align on BR to play. They have not despite years of requests so this can’t be an actual reason for this unrequested “feature.”

I’m not sure i believe this, but i accept the evidence of them saying it’s the case.
Them being misinformed, or it “not operating as intended” (bugged) are very real possibilities, though.
Also, unrelated story re your comment about having in-game friends, the only friend request i ever got in game was from a guy who kept spamming “need rally” and “need enemy coordinates” and i eventually went off on him in the chat since I (probably the only other human player in the match) was sweating my ass off building rallies and ammo and marking tanks and enemies, and he actually stopped spamming chat and then added me after we eventually won the match

Given that many of us have had access to other players mic’s after being in a match with them (not in a team with them), I just find it hard to believe stuff like this is functioning as advertised even if helpers believe it is.
I’ve never heard an in-game mic. Is this a console thing, or an only teams thing, or what? The one time I was accidentally on a pick-up team last week it was radio-silence as usual.
It’s a thing in the past few months - maybe quietly fixed. I haven’t had it in a while but for sure in the past 6 months. Just randomly have voice from people that were in previous matches in ALL subsequent matches. No matter what they are saying despite me having that disabled in options. Others have had the same. (includes opponents if I recall correctly).

This guy sure was in a tank, join the forum Enlisted clan, most of the time some good players ready to enjoy few good fights with many points.

These are not clans
if you see names like: TNT , URRS , LBE , YUI , TARD , ExE, BKG , KFL these are generally clan tags some real clan members use if you find at least one consider urself lucky/ unlucky (depending if you were looking foward to figth players far better than 80% of ppl)
and no before you say something the big majority of times all these players are on BR5
I have never seen any of those. ETA or whatever that one is with the try hards? EVA? I do not see any of them around at all. I assume all those people play on custom servers? I have to laugh about the original post. Yeah those name decals. Look out for the ones with the Dragons those guys are like blackbelts! You want to fight against guys with Horse decals. If you need someone to build something the guy with the cogs in his name will get that done that is why he has the badge.
People play at every BR. How silly you demand people play to your liking. I play whatever BR I want. If its 2 fine its its 5 fine. But avoid telling people they should play only ZYX BRs because they are vets. I guess the guy does not realize when you are a vet you have to level 100’s of soldiers and 100’s of quads across 4 nations. If I am leveling a squad and soldiers BR5 tends to be a bad place to start. BR2 is a great place to level up a squad to be useful (Radioman, Engineer).

Well there arent a lot of old clan around in normal match. I used to fight against a bunch of EVA before and they usually come in 2+ people.
quiz they died as a clan and almost everysingle one of them quit playing
I play with people from the forum. No clan just pick up and go. But when there are 3 of us the other might feel like its a group battle.
