It’s ridiculous how they made it op just because it’s Soviet. It has no horizontal recoil! And it’s a long barrel with attached bipod, there’s no way horizontal recoil would be that low with that bipod while standing or even crouching (when not using the bipod).

And it wasn’t even adopted because according to the weapons commission none of the assault rifles presented for trials in May 1944 met the requested requirements.

It’s a very great and cool looking weapon. I’m glad it’s here as premium, even. But it’s exaggerated. It’s like devs are trying to turn Berlin into Moscow 2.0… Which might happen in 2-3 weeks after axis mains go back to Stalingrad/Normandy and Tunisia (!).
How is it in the Russian forum? Are they happy it’s the way it is? 
I would be just a little bit mad but could have accepted it as a gold order weapon, one per all the squads. But making a paper gun so good and selling it for money is both tasteless and P2W.
The Russian forum seems to share the same opinions: those who wated it love it, others find it ahistorical and way too strong compared to German ARs.

Then I don’t get it. If the general sentiment is shared between everyone whatever the nationalities, favoured faction and all… Then why devs keep doing this? 
I’m glad Normandy is better than it used to be, I can hang out here (and I’m happy I cannot say which faction is the strongest here)

AS-44 is also full upgraded while a fully upgraded MP43 is also fairly accurate

I know that while you do also play axis, it’s not your favourite side.
I’m not saying axis has bad stuff. I’m saying devs do all they can to make Soviet stuff better, in the 2 regular campaigns.
I’ll never argue with you about Normandy, there, I’m a neophyte. But seriously, the 2 regular Soviets campaigns are becoming a tad biased (which can be confirmed by the emptiness of axis teams 2-3 weeks after updates). It’s getting old.

Thanks to some data mining, the AS-44 is more accurate ( 0.6 ) than the MP43 ( 0.7 ) or sniper Stg ( 0.66 ) in addition to the smaller recoil. True, the ridiculously accurate MKB ( 0.15 ) still outperforms it.

That’s making me a bit sad. Been waiting for that iconic thing since Berlin came out, and they overshadowed it with Fedorov and now AS-44.
At least I hope one day we can get the squad separately, I don’t care for the subpar stg45 bundle. But I do want AS-44 later, to farm bots.
I love the model, it reminds me of the rpk-74 (a weapon I love) a little bit.
Well, interesting anyway. The sniper stg is “officially” 0.27. While the normal stg44 is 0.66. However, as I have tried, this sniper Stg is much closer to the MP43 than the sniper MKB (0.28). Also adding that you also get AR bonuses, this is actually the normal stg.
Ralin or Sturmgewehr_45 will surely be able to say this more accurately. If this is the sniper stg then there is something else wrong with it. One thing is for sure, the AS-44 is more accurate than the MP43.
that is also the stock dispersion of both with fully upgraded it ends up being being .42(AS) and .49( MP43)
AS44 is definitely a perfect assault rife. The only things to consider are :1. It’s carrier cannot have +35% health perk, so very vulunarble to any weapon that is firing rifle cartridge. 2. Its existence can’t cover up the gap between avt40 and fg422. Don’t think it will help much when facing fg422 soldiers with +35% health.

Most P2W thing in game by miles. Excellent AR. Also trying to pull “muh FG-42 broken” while the AVT-40 is as good as the FG-42 is a bit pathetic

AVT40 is better than the Fg42 and the FG-42 II is a bit better than the AVT40. The problem with the AS-44 is that it is premium. Apart from a paper gun ofc

It deals relatively high damage while maintaining high accuracy due to its low horizontal and vertical recoil
