Allow all APC Bots use the Guns!

I can understand that to avoid abuse of it, but I think that all APCs in the game should allow their bots to use their APC’s weapons, for some reason some APCs allow it while others don’t, currently the Soviet APC (which is actually an American vehicle) can’t do it, the American LVT can but its Event Bren Carrier counterpart can’t, the two APCs with both Premium and Event armament can’t have their weapons used by bots but the Japanese Premium Ho-Ha can, I can accept don’t allow use cannon on Sdf in event APC of Germany or the Boys AT for Bren , but allow bot be able to use the LMG, that’s the only I wish, bots can use the LMG at least like the others, and man, the Ho-Ha frontal LMG can’t be used but the other two yes, wut?

Same problem with bikes, only the NPC on the back shoots, but if you switch to him, MG operating NPC does nothing

Absolutely not!

Any weapons on the APC should be under the direct control of the owner—which means they have the option to turn the weapon(s) on or off. The purpose of an APC is so other players can spawn on it. In order to keep it alive, it needs to be hidden (and quiet). Too many players in this game do not understand that: They’ll get into an APC, start firing the weapons (sometimes for no reason at all), and give up the position of the APC to the enemy—and you know what happens after that.

The bots in this game can barely find their way up a staircase—in fact, I just finished a game where they couldn’t and even do that. Unless you want your APCs to be constantly blown up, I really don’t think giving bots access to APC weapons is something you want to do!

At the moment of my post, 93% of 14 voters voted yes to this suggestion—which only further supports my hypothesis that most people in this game have no idea how to properly use an APC.

APCs still need to get somewhere and expecting them to never be detected is unreasonable. Disabling Fire at Will for your squad should disable them using the weapons of course but sometimes the added fire, especially in APCs where the AI is semi competent, is needed in some situations.

I agree 100%; unfortunately, the player base doesn’t have the knowledge, skills, nor the willingness to learn how to use an APC properly—Christ, they don’t even understand that the main purpose in the game is to get inside of a circle (and FPS games like this have been around for 30 years).

So, it’s still a hard “NO” for me.

then, make them be in passive, skill issue

We’re talking about at least three different things here: 1. The APC itself, 2. The onboard weapons on the APC, and 3. The bots. So I’m not sure what you’re talking about.

Furthermore, the bots & the players are only two of the problems with this change: We still have the developers to worry about. If they were going to fix the APCs, they would have done so by now. They haven’t. So, if they were to implement this, they would probably do so in the easiest way possible—which means they would simply turn the weapons on for the bots. It’s bad enough that the players get my APCs blown up, I don’t need bots added to the equation.

However, if the developers were to do it properly, then I’m still 50/50 on the idea because AGAIN incompetent players are going to get our team APCs blown up.

This is what the developers would have to code:

ONBOARD WEAPONS:

  1. Turn onboard weapons on for everybody.

  2. . Turn onboard weapons off for everybody.

  3. Turn onboard weapons on for players only.

  4. Turn onboard weapons on for bots only.

  5. Turn onboard weapons on for my bot squad only.

Finally, why do we need bots using onboard weapons anyway? They already have weapons that they shoot. The developers time would be better spent fixing all of the bugs in the game.

German premium APC is the best for this regard if it wasn’t shown.

Run this for maximum effectiveness with them except now use scotti in place of MKB.

The bots go crazy with the 3 rd burst on the breda for some reason, mg 81 for fire rate and scotti is just a beast in there

I’m completely in favor of it, and here’s why:

  • It will teach players to be cautious and stop charging headlong into vehicles.

  • Once mastered, this technique can be effective without being cheating.

  • Immersion will be significantly improved.

  • And it will give the crew more life.

I think we can keep the current system for low-level tanks, but for high-level tanks, we can let the bot control the hull gun. In my opinion, it would just require reducing its accuracy, which I have no problem with, but that’s beside the point.
