Only MG34 had 75 round magazine (patronentrommel). MG42 had 50 rounds metalic belts that can be linked → 100 rounds at least if not more.
Well, players in the Russian-speaking segment for the axis dream of mg 42 with 250 rounds))
I hope it will have 50 rounds. I would like to leave longer belts to introduce them via more interesting mehanics than “3 stars > 2 stars”.
What if a 4 star gets more ammo? Thats its final upgrade perk
It was one of the most commonly used belt lenghts so I’m not surprised. But I doubt devs will implement it, although I should expect everything at this point.
Tbh I would like this:
Would be cool for defenders. Why cant they just let us pick the belt size with corresponding negatives for more ammo?
I think there will be no such mg in Berlin, the Soviet Union didn’t seem to have a belt machine gun.
They really didnt but there are some options if we get into rare/prototype weapons

Top is the maxim tokarev
Bottom is RP44

maxim tokarev
Used by Chinese and Red Spain forces. Replaced by DP long before the war.
So it would make more sense for a Sino-Japanese campaign or a posible Spanish Civil War one.

RP44
Never heard from it.
Like I said they would have to stretch to get them in but it would not be the first time. The RP44 is actually on the random weapon picture in the logistics area so its already modeled
Yeaa Maxim tokarev, how i forgot him?

ke I said they would have to stretch to get them in but it would not be the first time
Still lets save some shit for the Chinese.

The RP44 is actually on the random weapon picture in the logistics area so its already modeled
Lol I always though its some sort of RPD (since I cant find it on google)
Its a proto type RPD. Not alot of info on it though
There’s plenty of info on it - the design was finalized and ready for mass production in 1944, and is the RPD - for which you can find as much info as you want.
It wasn’t adopted for mass production until 1948, and production ramped up in 1953 - but that is the same gun as was ready in 1944.
It’s just not sexy to consider that the effin’ commies had an intermediate cartridge LMG by the end of WW2 because it’s only nazi’s who had intermediate cartridge stuff, STG43, blah blah…etc, etc.
i played with it 2 or 3 times.
had alot of recoil per bullet on a crazy conefire almost unplayable., but had a nice 100 belt magasin., like prety much all weapons back then, they had some strange recoils., even the mg42 had alot of recoil back then. i m not surprised if it comes more balanced when they introduce it .
If given enough ammo to balance it would be great
I said a long time ago they should add the M1919 Stinger
It was a field modification and was used in Pacific only. It would make a great battle pass weapon, or maybe a premium squad, but definitely not for a regular progression.
Also, the Stinger wasn’t made out of an M1919, but out of an AN/M2 taken from crashed aircrafts, so it had over twice the rate of fire - around 1200 rpm. Also there were only six of them in the “Medal of Honor winning” configuration - the one used on Iwo Jima.
I mean, the RD-44 is the name of the early RPD variant which went through troop trials in 1944.
