I think most people are too negative. Sure I buy that artillery is a bit of a pain. But you can’t play the event with the same strategy as regular enlisted. You have to have a different tactic. People are too quick to judge.
Also want to add: Sometimes it feels like it doesn’t matter what the devs do, people WILL complain about it.

Finally, a cool event idea!! We’ve been waiting for WWI, and it’s way better than zombies or deathmatch. I love the concept of reenacting key moments with preset national squads, and I jumped straight into the game to test the WWI tanks… and that’s where the scam begins.
The game mode is absolute trash; it’s a War Thunder-style mode where playing a different squad is tied strictly to your score. But that’s only if you’re lucky enough to even get points, because people are spamming artillery everywhere—by the time you reach the objective, you’re already dead!
The worst part is that we actually wanted tanks and extra squads as rewards instead of those useless M17s! The challenges required to level up are almost impossible for anyone who isn’t a tryhard (it could’ve been simple, like “get 8 kills,” “capture a point,” or just “finish a battle”!). THE WORST THING IS THAT THE SCORE YOU EARN DOESN’T COUNT TOWARD UNLOCKING THE SABOTEURS! My heart is bleeding because we got “Gaijined” once again…

this event is nice,except for stressful marathon. soldiers are so slow and take too much time for respawn that we felt soooooo many stress. >reduce waiting time >increace runnning speed pls improve and I can enjoy feeling as if we are in ww1
Well, that’s on them.
No one forced them to go with the “lone fighter” format for this event (a failed concept that has long since gathered dust in the customs). They could have easily went with classic squads concept, as that’s the main thing that most people play Enlisted for.
It’s not like they’re experimenting with something new.

Yeah, totally unplayable. It wouldn’t be a bad event if they shit canned the arty. I have no desire to play with it the way it is. Then when you want to call for arty, your fighting with four other dudes to be able to do it. Just dumb and not well thought out.
ngl it seems like a great event, but i am surprised they made it lone fighters?
edit: to give like the full scope of WW1, wouldnt it be more epic to give massive squads, especially if everyone is using Bolties

Sure, I see your point. I agree with you that it should have had the “usual” format. But at the same time, I don’t think it’s crucial. Still, if they have to redo the event, at least make it possible to choose “lone or squad.”
But I still stand by the idea that people are a bit too sensitive. People jump on the complaint train as soon as they get the chance. OMG, something isn’t 100% perfect — “BOOM, THIS IS HORRIBLE.”

As someone grinding the Soviets, the last 2 events (at least) have been Soviet based so I expected this one to be more America/Germany centric. I have no issues at all with this. It’s about balance and we’ve gotten our goodies the last couple events.

I am truly amazed how DF continues to deliver shitter and shitter events. Like how is it even possible? Devs are actively tormenting players with each iteration at this point.
My only feedback is that I want to see a dev comes up and posts his completed event bp. That’s all. Pathetic that there is not even the minimum play testing involved.
