Change the way squads are obtained from the tech tree: unlock troop-type squads instead of individual squads. This will prevent squads that do not belong to certain campaigns from appearing there erroneously.
For example, once you unlock access to an infantry squad, the system will automatically switch to the corresponding unit for the current campaign during matchmaking. You will get British infantry squads in the Tunisia campaign and Marine Corps squads in the Pacific campaign.
You can freely change uniforms for corresponding units in the custom appearance menu. For special campaigns featuring two factions like Tunisia, a unit selection option will be provided, allowing you to choose between British and American troops as preferred.
