This coming from the “plane main” Cat crying in the other thread about how they nerfed your precious Stuka. Brilliant.
I never argued against the planes needing a nerf to prevent spawn bombing. My issue was that the “fix” that is in place right now subtracts from the enjoyment of using planes. Moving the spawns back would lead to the same result, without artificially forcing people that want to fly a plane from waiting in the main menu. Flying for 1 minute, not being able to kill anything during that time is more fun than staring at your screen for that same minute.
The actual planes themselves were not affected
If they field historically correct tanks with the correct ammunition and properly develop the visualisation from each tank based on its actual periscopes and episcopes then the KV and T-34 tanks will work, and can be balanced. The dynamite sticks need to be evolved into proper satchel charges as were historically available, and the 88 potentially introduced into the game as the Engineer II AT gun builld.
The other issue I mentioned in the other thread is that both the PzIIIs available in the Moscow Campaign are obsolete variants that were not used for Barbarossa. I’m assuming that was done to balance out the German tanks which would make short work of the T60, BT7 and the T28 even with the short 50mm guns at the knife fighting ranges on the current maps. That in itself would also work the other way against the T-34s and KV’s which would feasibly be within the optimal range for the 50mm Pz III guns to be effective - ie >500m
With a bit more playtesting they can make all the appropriate tanks available within the context of the Moscow campaign. Part of the challenge they are no doubt wrestling with is how to build it all into a progression tree within a Campaign that gives everyone a sense of gradual achievement, whilst remaining as historically accurate as the gaming aspects permit.
The reason I jumped across to this from WT, is that WT has become a spew bucket of messed up content that is less and less historically accurate and departs further from common sense with every release. Lets hope this project does not skid off the common sense rails - so far so good I’m pleased to opine.
Nope KV-1s still cannot be penetrated by a 50mm if the KV-1 is angled even just a little bit. Meanwhile, it would make all old tanks obsolete making you effectively unable to play tanks in Moscow until you unlock KV-1, and make playing German tanks entirely useless if there are any KV-1s in the match. 88mm is still going to be useless as explained at least 100 times so I’m not going to repeat why.

Honestly, is this so difficult to grasp? KV-1 IS NOT COMING TO ENLISTED.
