M2 is upgraded version of M1. M1 and M2 had same purpose and that’s to equip soldiers that are in need of weapon but need something stronger than pistol and something not as heavy as standard service rifle to defend themselves from the enemy.
So if we bring some realism to it every class expect rifleman, assaulter and machinegunner should have possibility to be equipped with M2.
True but it’s also a game and as far as the game is concerned right now the M2 is better than a Garand.
Ammo counts could be rebalanced to account for that and make it a viable choice, but my hangup is- what do we give German support classes?
Why do so many people think so one dimensional. There is a thing called “interaction” and it includes interaction between fixes / suggestions we have on this forum.
I am neither German nor American.
But most of people here are very passionate about nerfing Germany.
It unbalances the game and it’s killing the game.
That’s all.
What’s funny is that it’s so bad in general use it doesn’t need to be restricted. The only real use it has is in close range and to shoot from a hip. Iron sights are unusable in full-auto and if you switch to semi-auto you have basically M1 but with more ammo which you will not even be able to use because you will get killed by G43 or FG42.
Selective-Fire Weapons 100Rounds
M2 Carbine 30/60
FG42 20/60 because 12.0 Hit Power or 20/80 i don’t care.
Semi-Auto Rifles 30Rounds
M1 Garand 8/24
Gewehr 43 10/30
There i balance the game.
It doesn’t have to be good one. In CQC it’s better than a rifle, that’s all that matters.
When we lock it to (for example) assaulters only, we can buff it and make it competitive to other SMGs.
