there is no such thing as the P-48, maybe you meant P-51 that has dumb bombs and 12.7mm guns, and if you can compare a BAR with a MG42 and say that both of them are on the same category of fighting then im not complaining anymore about them being op

M2 carbine is worse than fg42 by far, BAR is worse than any German LMG by a sizeable degree, Thompson is good at close range but loses at long range to the Beretta 1918 and 38, M1 Garand is worse than the Gewehr 43. Sherman is more or less equal to the Pz IVJ. Ju 188 still has a larger bomb load than US attackers.

maybe the issue could come from it’s damage and the fact that you can equip on most useful classes outside of gunners and assaulters, it would be like giving the americans BARs as a multiclass

? It’s dogshit due to its bad sight with magazine in the upper part of the gun and a extremly high horizontal recoil(2x more than PPsh). Only good at room clearing, but MG42 and even dogshit FG42 is better than it.

BAR isn’t an LMG, it was forced into that role since america didn’t really have anything better than the Browning Automatic Rifle

- M2 sort of submachinegun with trash recoil. Not a good gun at all.
- BAR vs mg 34 /42 no contest. Germany wins.

- Sherman vs Pz4. Germany wins.
- P38 is a shit fighter vs Bf109. Germany wins.
- A20/P47 vs JU88. 1500kg of bombs tells me Germany wins.

Before you shout I am a US main. I have played both sides extensively.
Regarding retarded teammates, Germany wins again. US players are decent at engineering and objective. Germans are not comparable by a mile.

Having better range on SMG that is still shit at long range is like having a knife with 2 sharp edges over 1.
Name doesnt mean anything. It was used as an LMG so it is fine to be categorized as LMG in game
The Thompson aside, most US smg options are sub-par to terrible. The M3/M3A1 are ok at close range, but that’s it. Germany has better options overall from the FNAB and onward.

when it comes to american naming thing then yes the name does mean everything like the shermans official name is “medium tank m4”, and no i don’t want BAR to be multiclass i was using it as the closest thing to fg42 in game

That aside I dont consider any of the lower lvl smgs even remotely decent.
point being having better range on gun that aint even designed for anykind of “long” range engagements isnt exactly something that would make it op or even better. Especiatly when u can have rifle as well with assaulter.
