So… me and my friends were having a discussion about how will the game be balanced after ther merger. Like will the weapons be given a br like WT or anything else. The major problem is some of us have the question about coldwar era and the modern warfare era. because the guns are all acting regarding the data on paper so guns like fg422 and stg44 might be better or at least no huge disadvantage to more advanced guns. If this is the case then will there be another room spilt between WWII and cold war after the merger? and if not then will there be other system like body armor in future that can only be penetrated by more advanced weapons.
It is not known whether this game will jump out of World War II.
If the game goes on for another 10 years, I think there is a possibility of starting a Cold War era or modern warfare, but first they need to try to keep the service going for another year or two of the merge.
It will probably be a huge challenge.

yea thats our conclusion too. We think this game might not even survive after the year and all our investment in this game would probably ended up in some redeem in WT
There’s no word about should Enlisted go beyond WWII despite the possibility that we may see AKs in WWII maps which is why a Cold War campaign should be separate from WWII or else we may see AK-74s and T-72B3s in Moscow Campaign with the same WWII maps or AK-12s and T-90Ms in Berlin 1945 where we also use UAZ and Toyota pickup trucks and DJI drones in a few years. Also we still wear WWII uniforms but with modern equipment like modern AKs and optics.
One of the dumbest things in War Thunder ever being the fact that we are fighting in a 1945 map with a 2017 tank which is the T-80BVM.

I hope that the devs are not considering expanding beyond the WW2 setting in the foreseeable future. This game has the chance to be one of the most expansive WW2 sandboxes available and there is still tons of content that could be added.

Agreed. I am willing to jump out of WW2 “in the future”, but not now.

Cold war wouldn’t make sense since the goal of the merge is unify the divided player base, but a battle between USA and USSR in Berlin would be logical.
I could argue if this game is sandbox (it isn’t by any means, it’s very limited) but overall I agree.
if they add modern weapons this game will become a masterpiece
