I know, man. It’s really frustrating seeing them take the easy and laziest road. I’ve also been waiting for an event APC for both Japan and Soviets for a long time. A part of me though they were taking their time because they were actually researching or looking for suitable options. (How foolish of me)
If they were gonna shamelessly double copy-paste the same APC anyways, why did it took them so freaking long in that case? There’s absolutely no excuse there.
The most anticipated second APC event arrives both late and it’s all wrong. If they had told us two years ago they were gonna copy twice the UC, we all would’ve laughed thinking it was a joke.

Wierd that everyone gets a Universal Carrier, especially Japan, especially since there would be cool Jap made alternatives. But ahh fuck, I take it.
Instead of keeping the original Bren,
or use more authentic DT and PTRD,
or be fairful by giving German with ones use MG 34,
we have more invented history.

The Japanese captured many Universal Carriers, mainly in Singapore, so it’s not impossible that they modified them.

If a jap team deploys 10 APCS, 1 captured universal carrier and 9 standard jap trucks, so a ratio of 1:9, then that would mean 10% of the APCS deployed were captured. Nowhere near 10% of Japanese APCS were captured vehicles so it’d still be an issue.
Usually I don’t care too much about HA, but reskin Universal Carrier with some random mg choice is just a midfinger to the whole playbase. Why can’t devs just put some effort into adding HA weapons to these Univpersal Carriers, especially for the Soviet ones as they are more well known. They just don’t care.
