Yes and no, I very much enjoy the squads but arbitrarily bumping the price up like that for the cosmetic armor is pretty sketchy. It’s up to you if you think the premium SMG squads are worth it.

This company really doesnt want my money I see. I’d spend 15-20$ on a rifle squad, sure. 37.50$? Hahahahahhahaha nope. Especially now that they can only have 4 locked in members but want almost 10$ a soldier!

I agree, offering up f*** all and expecting people to pay 40 dollars, if we’re going off that price its like $10 per individual solider in that squad lol thats the only way i see how they’ve priced it, either way gross…

And guess what. The 9 man rifle premiums are fun and not OP.
There was no reason to absolutely gut them because bad players couldn’t cope and had to find something to blame.
I’m guilty of it with the MP41 to be honest, and looking back I can see the issue was that the founders pack squads were spammed to hell and back so they made up a significant percentage of my deaths.
Bad players whining about the founders pack premiums got all premium squads gutted of their extra men on top of perks they started with that can just be added back in since they come with respec points completely negating the change leaving them nearly worthless as a whole.
You can still do alright with them if you’re good, but normal squads from the campaign are more capable of the same performance and much better overall than the 4 man premium squads.

Hell you can get both the premium machine gun squads for TWO factions which are actually pretty good for 33.00. Or you can can get one semi auto rifle gimped 4 man squad for 37.50

There should be absolutely no one defending this 4 man locked squad at this price. There is no defense when the company also sells two squads of machine gunners for around 16.00 a piece

Not gonna lie, the base concept of those premium squads is good. Premium bonus, unique weapons (relatively meta yet not OP), and engineers are an extremely useful class in game, which can decide a match with careful positioning of rally points, guns and defenses, without the need for large numbers to perform first-line assault. Hence an appealing premium squad.
Not at THAT price tho. I sadly pass.

Well, you don’t have to buy any of this. It’s mostly for fun, no? Do you really need a bolt action squad? lol But yeah, prices are overboard. I don’t buy anything, but a bit of training, for gold, and sometimes weapon boxes. Stock squads are the best anyway, it seems. The only good one is like CBT Premium squads.
I mean, all premiums are locked at lvl 4 lol omg that’s so trash.

The 1st Volkssturm Company is definitely worth buying, and the Lebel is - surprisingly - an absolute blast to use. This squad also comes with nine soldiers! 
Edit: The engineer squads by comparison are not good value for money.
