Why were you shooting with a field cap??!!

i never said they stopped all rifle rounds…
its like people just walk in here and shout like wackjobs without reading like 10-15 comments up or the title of the post that clearly disqualifies any pointed type (Spitzer style) ammo from this discussion… whats being discussed is the wadcutter’s velocity falling off over ranges like 50-100 yards reducing its penetrating power… if a bullet slows down enough after exiting the barrel yes a helmet will deflect it as shown with the 45. ACP… a slower travelling heavier round…
the difference between pointed ammo (Spitzer Ammo) and rounded ammo (Wadcutter Ammo) is the range, speed, stability and penetrating power
and then you go onto talking about snipers like you haven’t even read the title of the thread… so here’s what im gonna do il end this conversation because you clearly didn’t read before posting
you do realize the PTRD rifle uses Spitzer Type Ammo…
SMFH…
well of course 7.62 is gonna punch a hole through a helmet… are you daft that’s the bullets they put in AK-47’s… Also Spitzer Style Ammo… … i felt like iv said this for 20+ people already bringing up guns with pointed ammo…
I’ve shot at troops helmets in the past and it did no damage, unless that was just the lag. Though a headshot should knock down troops, maybe only for a few seconds though without medpack usage and the removal of the helmet
the M1 Carbine did not penetrate the helmet, but rather broke the helmet and both the projectile and the shrapnel of the helmet entered the soldier’s head. .45ACP and 9mm ammunition would soften the helmet and on impact would stun or faint the soldier, but direct rifle firing would pass through, so the game is even coherent in that part.
What layers? It was 2 to 3 mm of steal and a headrest inside made of cloth.
Dude go read some books. Leave the internet
yes and the k98k to but what do i know having original standart ammo for the k98k from wwII and an k98k
Well… It is for sure more than just a couple of grams that bullet weight… For example one really common bullet type that finnish forces used in WW2 era is a FMJBT type D166 bullet that is 13grams = 200 grains. Caliber 7,62mm which makes bullet diameter 7,87mm = .310 in, same caliber than Mosin Nagants.
PPDs fire 7.62mm short too. There’s all kind of 7.62mm ammo.
No kevlar in WWII
where did you go to school, son?
since when helmets stop bullets in ww2?..
since battlefield or something? lol
they don’t do that even there
dilate
That’s retarded
Helmets don’t stop bullets
Helmets werent designed to stop bullets but frags mate. Check out and these are using intermediate rounds not full power 30-06, 303, 7.92×57 or 7.62×54mmR.
weird
iv seen some with this fibrous inner lining that resembles epoxy coated kevlar. it breaks apart into a separate layer sometimes if when the bullet goes through the exterior of the helmet its slowed down enough by hitting metal.
since when did i ever say a helmet would stop bullets, i only quoted what happened in the video with the 45… the original thought was to make the helmet fly off the soldiers head upon being hit by a wadcutter round… making you head-shot immortal was never an idea in this suggestion…
