And it’s that way of thinking which will send us into the nightmare
It is small steps which will send us right into the abyss so it’s best not to start
One of the few times I see you descend onto the forum and dispense some actual sense. Respect.
HA enjoyed should be arguing for the deletion of skeleton looking prototypes like the RPK, AS-44 and AutoHei that seem to flood BR5. I would love a HA Enlisted, but they best way to implement this is through anturage (Aka instead of adding the RPK and Fedorov, half-loaded SVT and DP-27), not cherry picking honestly fine weapons (and as a Soviet main, not even that good) to complain about.
I’d love the historically accurate fg42 to be moved to a br5 paratrooper rifle
If Gaijin truly wants Historical Accuracy then they wouldn’t mind Germany getting new type of Assaulters at BR5 which would let them carry 8x STG44s
and trading the majority of rifles for kar98s
while the us mostly gets m1 rifles and carbines no one wants to play ww2
I like that idea - basically a semi auto that trades one hit kills for not actually being a semi auto but full auto.
That would be sick.
Planning on putting one of those squads in my Ardennes mod whenever I end up making it
aslong as we get a high damage i dont see problem
Sure, can’t wait for eleven stg
But stg can be given to a soldiers why not
HA crowd is most likely the most toxic crowd on gaming scene, ngl.
I think you will find they have wanted that for ages and have argued it many times (for years)
Personally i have always wanted prototypes as BP/event and premium only
I really dislike tech tree prototypes and premium standard issue
There is accuracy and then there is authenticity.
Accuracy got shat on ages ago (died in crib). Authenticity was slower to go to the shitter, but here we are
This annoys me so much.
Which Winchester? The lever action shot gun or the 1907 model semi auto?
Trying to look at all of this from a game development standpoint, I guess the idea from the developers was to bring the StG to lower battle ratings. For myself and what I would prefer, there were other options they could have added instead (other versions of the Vollmer MKb.35, the Heinemann Self-Loading Rifle, etc) without opening the can of worms that they have, but they are obviously not guns that are as well-known as the StG and it’s earlier variants.
A lot of my frustrations with Enlisted’s recent additions is how some stats get historically referenced, while others are just made up for one reason or another, when there are options out there that could fill the same role without having to drastically change things.
Reading some of the later comments, it’s honestly funny how much the “historical accuracy community” (myself included) agree and disagree on what should or shouldn’t be added. Some people don’t even want prototypes in the game, some people don’t want a weapon used outside of it’s doctrinal role, while others just want an accurate model, or weapons with any confirmation of capture to be fair game for that country.
A lot of my worry about the game comes from my prior experience with World of Tanks, where it at least used to try and get armor values, weight, horsepower etc accurate, but now just says “hey guys, look at the FV230 Canopener, it totally existed!”. Now there’s a lot of people who either believe everything from it was real, or have no clue what’s real and what wasn’t, with good reason.
shotgun and the 1886
yes - but we are still right
Definitely not in the current state of game. Russia has pps42/43, germany has TONS of guns with 600-690 rof in br2, japan now has type 100 with over 700 rof. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with m1a1 in br2 with what the other nations have
Wow this is probably the most Re: take I’ve seen in a long while.
Translation: haha Gaijin add fun guns. Fun guns didn’t exist IRL? Who cares! They are haha fun! Everyone who doesn’t like haha guns is “butthurt”
Please, never go full Re:
Or eventually you’ll get “prototype STG with 123 rounds” and “workshop modified T-34-152”
