so hardcoded that same devs can add secondary weapon/remove it
but cant add a soldier ??? serious?! you telling us they cant add a Slot to add a soldier even if its a free soldier with no xp gain.

Well I Partially understand it, but weren’t there other chances or a bypass to solve it?
During the 2 Years Anniversary (Which is still ongoing) MG30 and Chauchat came back. Despite me Buying them all 2 years ago there was still a Purchase Button at Logistics, So I’ve bought them in Curiosity.
And Voilà!
now I have 2 MG30 Squads.
They have Different Soldier stats.
New one has [ Vital-3, Weapon+4, Speed+2 ] while old one is [ Vital-2, Weapon+8, Speed-3 ]
It seems to me that they have made a same, but new squad for changing a stats of the Soldiers.
Since the old-ones are Hardcoded so Devs made the Same squad again for changing its stats I suppose, which made those “same” but “different” squads to coexsist.
I think this could be a key to solve this.
Making the same squad but with the Pioneers again, re-release those premium squads then.
and for who already have bought the Premium Squads, making them could be exchanged with the old ones.
Since they’ve already done this with Chauchat and MG 30, which I own 2 same but Different Squads, I think It is very possible for Devs.
or since they managed to add the secondary slot on upgrade part, how is that impossible to add a eng for us to grind and let us add a non premium soldier there?
well I think that part maaaaaybe different, touching Old squads could be hard when seeing they created the whole new squad just to change a stat of old soldiers… but well you seem to be kinda right too.
Hopefully they refund you when this gets inevitably deleted
Frankly, they could just add an engineer/RO/ATG/sniper slot, without actually increasing the size of the squad.
This would at least give options to the players.
Unfortunate, what i can do is just pass that suggestion, devs will decide themselves с:

Weird that they easily managed to change the way premium squads worked before… (they changed that assault squads can only have the base 4 soldiers instead of 7 in total, like in the beta) also why cant there be an additional level in the tech tree? I mean they did it with the “Additional weapon” option, why cant that be with the additional engineer?

If you had bought a chauchat during the CBT, when still Chauchat had 5 Stars, you could buy one more at Logistics.

Maybe they can improve this problem in other ways, such as providing a slot for ordinary engineer in the blue technology tree.
Or provide them with special shovels, like this
If they don’t want to modify the default shovels, they can send a few special shovels for players who bought the old premium squad, 1 special shovel for per squad
What ever, They have too many clever ways to solve this issue, players just want to build key things like rally point and ammo boxes, we don’t means want an extra premium soldier or premium weapon.
There is always a way.
If they want to do it, it’s another question.
That special shovel is a nice idea. Even if the squads stay at 4 memenbers only.
