The UI damage model is unreliable.
It takes a few minutes before you get actual information from it.

I realized that after my tank kept functioning.

Yeah, it did scary me a few times.
Even today, after a nasty shot from T-26,4 of my crew was “dead” but in reality, only 1 guy died,
I returned fire and destroyed it.
My best advice is to ignore it completely and carry on as best as you can so you don’t bale out or lose the tank pointlessly.

I usually don’t pay much attention to it.
Only when I need to see what broke.

i noticed this in berlin.
got shot twice by an is2 in my tiger and both times my crew went full mode jelly beans, yet it was functional with no issues.
no " blood " screen, no components damaged and what not.
yet the UI was fricky.
anyway, i blasted that is2 near the driver viewport and he became more brighter than a Christmas tree…
( fix tanks when )

UI bugs like the UI shows my crew and some modules got hit but it wasn’t.
