Try to give the kills to those doing the maximum damage and hits
Especially on plane fights I don’t think this is the case.

No it’s not and it’s very maddening, I see Guys stealing my kills all the time, The last person to put a round into a plane gets the kill.
Yesterday for example I ripped the wings and the tail off an SBD with an AA gun then A 110 put a split second squirt of machine-gun into it and he gets the kill
This also happens a lot in the air, set a plane on fire kill the crew some guy tags for a split second and he gets the kill
Complain about it in the game and they act like you’re the asshole for mentioning it…

This is very true, Ive put a bullet from my rifle into the cockpit of a plane that was already on fire and won the kill. I guess a bit unfair to the guy who did the most damage to the plane in the first place. Having said that, though, I could imagine it being rather difficult for the devs to be able to suss out who hit it with most bullets, rockets etc. I guess this has answered the question, eh, It`s the person that kills the pilot, not the one that fills the plane with lots of bullets

We all suffer the same game limitations, so yes, it is possible you could be considered an asshole but that would all be down to how you wrote it in game at the time. I love to AA Gun now they given them a little love and often get the same situation, so I do feel your pain.
