As a returning player what are the following best vehicle, to know what to focus on(considering the merge of factions):
No premium vehicles pelase.
Playing US or Germany, is what covers you all maps, so will be focusing on them.
Also, is phosphorus grenade still worth picking up?
well, it depend what you you looking for in the specific br/tier bracket.
but if we wanna say the best of the best for latter tier, i’d say:
for the krauts themselves;
fw 12 ( from berlin axis ) as it has enough ordinance and is overall a good fighter.
ju 188 from normandy as it’s the most " carpet " bomb you’re ever gonna get. or the ME 141 also from, berlin.
and for tanks;
Tiger I & tiger II H. no questions about them.
anything you need / want, it’s mostly in berlin.
on the other hand for the USA,
p51 & P47D are your best choice for fighter pilots with enough ordenance to pound in the dirty any jerry’s tank. ( normandy )
then you have the beufighter in tunisia which it’s the best bombers brits got, and the A-20 both from tunisia and normandy. just different payload.
regarding the tanks, they don’t have much to work with.
and those are, both shermans 76 ( the only actual tanks ) & the m18. ( both in normandy )
they don’t have armor. even a puma can pen them frontally.
but they have the best guns to deal with tigers and panthers.
i guess the jumbo is somewhat good as it can survive until gets shot in the mg port, but lacks to pen capabilities against those said tigers though.

That clears out most of my question, but was looking for straight air vs air, just raw firepower and mobility vs other planes, not looking for something in between to bomb.
Sometimes just wanna dominate the other pilot when it becomes annoying.
For example using Bf 109 G-10 in Normandy at the moment, was wondering if Axis have any upgrade to this and what is the counterpart on the allied side? Maybe one of the planes on Brits Tunisia?
Just raw Air firepower vs other planes, like Bf 109 G-10 you can see it was meant to hunt other planes, so fast, maneuverable and raw firepower vs planes.
well… in enlisted generally you want to cover the most areas as possible.
especially since you’re an airplane and not fighting on the ground.
because fighters planes with just mgs are tipically useless.
but if you are looking for pure best fighters, germany has the bf 109 K4 & the last bf 109 in berlin which i’m forgetting the name. as well as the italian fighter plane Re 2001.
for the allies, p51 as it’s more maneuverable and somewhat fast.
or, you could go for the pacific hellcat.
and another rule of thumb, if it has cannons, it’s usually best against airplanes instead of mere mgs.
yes. germans have the bf 109 k4.
and the allies has spitfires as well as hellcats. ( imo, sptifires are no where to be good as p51s )
there, it becomes a matter of who sees who first and has the first shot most of the time.
and, the abilities of the pilot to perform evasive manouvres.
it’s difficult to make a raw comparison between plane.
because in enlisted, they don’t fully reach their potential unlike war thunder as they don’t really have to.
beside, most of the planes are different.
especially when it comes to fire power, maneuverability and overhall turn rate and what not.
as many planes again, are different. and almost no one tried them outside the intended campaign.
but when i noticed is that, most of the time, germans planes struggles with climb rate but eats opponents in turning and manouvrability.
the others way goes for the allies.
usually less manouvrable when turning or rolling, but easier to get high altitude upon bf 109s / fw and generally slighlty faster to get away from them.
but it all comes down to… players most of the time they will bomb the objective, do some kill, and either continue or suicide bomb.
which, planes with bombs are usually much slower.
so, if you are going with a fighter plane, you will win most of the encounters.
unfortunately, i do not know extensively the allied airplanes as i only used for the majority, p51s and p47d but to be fair, those despite their issues when turning, as sometimes feels like a flying brick, they generally make quick work of enemies. but they struggle against fw12s. and k4s. due to their speed and better manouvrability.
what i suggest you to do though, is play extensively customs against other players.
since majority of customs have a trade of all functions and get a better view and experience on the field.
because even if a plane is good, if the user does not like it, or isn’t keen to properly know the tool, it’s always best to seek something else that adapts your playstyle and own prefered rules of engagement / way of engage.
I only play GER so i can tell you about these
Bf110 G-2 (current Normandy) > it’s a damn meat grinder, 4x rockets and 37mm tank buster cannon
Honorable mention for the Ju188, 6x250kg bombs has no rivals. If you love and are good at bombing this toy will make you happy. Carpet bombing becomes a reality with this
FW190 A-8 > got 2 rockets, and very good for multirole air supremacy/CAS, excellent performance, nimble and fast
OR
FW190 D-12 not being the best of the FW line, has got a 250 kg bomb but it’s in this list coz of a 30mm autocannon…that thing is very good to blow up wings with 1 shot
I personally love all BF109 and theyre very good for dogfight for their performance, but get at least something with 20mm cannons
To be honest anything above Pz IV…
My personal favourite it’s the Tiger E, better mobility than Tiger II, better armor than Panther
Panther is good, great forward speed, horrible backgear, good gun
Tiger 2, well, best armour…but same gun as tiger 1
It’s hard to choose…i just love them all

don’t expect to get the best plane and magically do kills all the time
