Expected is not “set in stone” and if developer team maintains communication with forums, we will be able to know what is going on, when and why.
Even simple “we do not know yet and here is why…” would be enough.
As tchov said, communication is the key to success… (and understanding to each other I might add)
Can we at least get like 50 crates of Weapons and Recruits on OBT? Cause like it’s all wasted, and regrinding will be a punishment for us early betas. Premium squads were paid for, so of course we keep them. And getting like 50 crates each, to level your favorite side on OBT would be really nice, for people that we’ve been play testing the game for 2 months now. \
I dont really think it is a good idea as that can repulse any new players unlucky enough to try to stand a chance against former alpha and CBT testers.
The only thing I regret about the wipe is the fact that I´m going to loose my sniper Ivan Ivanov.
Just gib us unique propaganda posters that cannot be bought, and be done with it without disrupting gameplay.
Yes you will be doing the same thing all over again, and you knew that (or should have known) going into closed beta. You made a conscious choice to start playing anyway. This doesn’t make you entitled to special privileges that go beyond what was listed in the early access pack (or whatever it’s called this time around).
I didnt sign up to grind something twice, for no reason. I paid around $100 already for this game. It’s not too much to ask to request a bit of consideration. My time is valuable, I’m a software engineer at Microsoft. So I’d rather spend my time somewhere more efficiently.
Its not about getting something “cool”, it’s about avoiding some grind. It’s not much to ask, we all have lives, and other things we’d rather spend time on, than regrinding video games.
A nice little something would do, like 50 crates for each, or something.
50 crates is a “little”? That is far too much by any standard.
Also, what your subjective intentions were when you joined are not really relevant since you were warned right on start that everything is subject to change and you are here to both have fun and help to make this game better.
If testers (even only alpha testers from which I´m one of them too) would receive gameplay advantage, it would completely ruin experience of new players… and what those players will do? Right… they will leave because it is not fun to log in first day after launch and face geared veterans who played the said game 6 months or more before release.
