Why not eliminate or reduce the gray areas?

I once saw a video where they put enlisted in top 5 console tactical shooter fr ( maybe 2 weeks ago)

i would like to see more misssion objectives in these zones, suitable for vehicles and long range fight

maybe you’re right, enlisted has several things that make it somewhat tactical and things like that, but this game has room for improvement both in terms of gameplay and strategy.

it looks good

Maybe extend the time allowed in greyzones, which would allow anyone to kill greyzone camper, but then have enough time to fall back to prevent them from spawn camping.

The drawback of that would be that there will be times when our objective to destroy will be so far away that not even with that additional time can we arrive or even return without mentioning that the enemies will be shooting at us.

I totally approve of this idea. An NKVD squad with a Maxim Gun that shoots any Soviet deserters would be a lovely idea.

i would suggest instead if dying inside gray zones you get marked on the map for the enemy(after some time, to allow brief pushes for killing campers)
and than add extra safe zones where you will die, around the enemy spawn and outside of the maps

You’re totally right, although I wouldn’t define Enlisted as “arcade”. This game needs more tactics and less explosions. Removing gray areas isn’t an option as noobish players would spread too much, but they should enlarge it.

yes, my goal itself is to give more options to strategies and flanking

I dont think grey zone should be removed completely due to the spawncamping, despite its obvious flaws.

However, certain maps should definitely provide a bit more breathing space than they do… right now defenders cant even use artillery on some maps, because they would be forced to use it on their own lines.

Well, now even tanks have spawn protection so why not? I’d only leave “grey zone” where you can’t build and place mines.

That is because not all spawncamping is done literally by the spawn.
Tanks spawn fairly far away (not on every map, but you get the idea), with plenty of space to get yeeted by random camping infantry along the way, with little they can do (since your own infantry spawn is often positioned completely differently).
That is actually my concern. Restricting mines on that area is nice, but there is still an easy way to get around that if enemy is allowed to camp or hide around as much as they want.

These camping people would also be missed at attacking/defending the point, thus being overall nuinsance for both teams.

Be careful and think about what you’re asking for.

If you narrow down the play field you’re going to be limiting where we can spawn. We’ll be forced to spawn closer to the objectives with more chances of being spawn camped.

In addition cutting down on the map size that’s also less room to flank and maneuver laterally in your spawn before you commit towards the objectives.

friend, the issue is to EXPAND the playable area, so that FLANKING is a more viable option and thus AVOID BOTTLENECKS IN THE MAPS.

Let’s kill 2 birds with one shot, if they expand the playable zone by reducing the grey one they could also set spawn a bit further (for defenders too) so:
1- if tanks wants to get kills they’ll need to be in playable zone.
2-If spawns are further that would oblige people to build rallys .
what do you think about?

Exactly, this drives people to build more rally points plus the developers’ past idea of reworking the distance between rally points and capture points could finally be realized

Never underestimate players potential for not building rally.

Though You are close to solution, and they started to implement it with more vehicle spawn points.
We already can’t spawn at rally near (fighting) enemy, so if we have more default spawns to choose from, gray zone can go away.
There will be spawn camping with tanks from far away, but it’s already happening in some maps with stupid default spawn positions that lead to whole match being one big seal clubbing session.

We already have amazing maps, but they are being dragged down by awfull spawn locations, like Berlin’s Moat being just other map in reverse, yet being ten times worse.

More and better spawns pls

Greyzone is horrible, prevents flanking maneuvers sometimes, and at worst lets one side set up anti-tank, aa, and tanks in there. I was running towards an AT gun in the greyzone and I thought I could make it but the greyzone killed me before I could lob my TNT.
