Stat wise, AVT does more dmg and ahs better accuracy for very similiar recoil and rof for like bullets less.

Accuracy is also not a hindrance when you have no recoil
It may lack the raw DPS of the PPSh or Kiraly but it has near zero recoil and you can just shoot pure headshots with absolute ease

Absolutely! The fg42 & avt should be limited to machine gunners, and the m2 should be exclusive to the assault class. Handing out fully automatic weapons to every class was a mistake that can be easily corrected

the trick with the MkB is to get the horizontal recoil perk, without it its kinda lacking.

It wouldnât solve everything of course. It would give more distinction between classes, and reduce the overall number of automatic weapons available per squad.
To really fix full-auto spam: they need to limit the number and type of weapons that can be assigned to each squad, slow down reloads, and give automatics more recoil while limiting the perks that negate recoil and boost vitality.
Limiting automatics to machine gunners and assaulters would be a good start
I agree. I suggested something to fix this in a past, where each weapon has a numerical rating based on performance, and each squad has a maximum rating based on the cumulative rating of the squads weapons that cannot be exceeded.
For example, if you had a rifleman squad with the limit of 35, and set each FG42 rating to 8, you couldnât take 9 FG42s because it would exceed the rating.
Under this system, you wouldnât have to reclassify automatic rifles because they would be limited regardless.
But in the meantime, those weapons should be reclassified.
Actually this would work REALLY well with the upcoming BR system.
Squads with low limit would be low BR and squads with high limit would be high BR.
So on low BR you wouldnât encounter fully equipped squads but on high BR you would.
