Why do you do this?

Yeah but came like one month after the OBT, not to mention that the trailer apparently included the Jumbo.

Normandy shitshow was doomed from the beginning.

That’s a fair argument, though I still think it would be better off to preserve the timespan of identifiable battles and keep equipment somewhat accurate (mainly preventing weapons from the future being present in the battle where they were not invented yet). It would help keep some things unique, more in use, and prevent copy and paste for some things.

My main point I fight for with regards to historical accuracy is that the weapons that are made past the end of the battle are not present. I’m ok with prototype weaponry or rare weaponry being in Premium Squads or Gold Orders. In terms of gameplay, I think more realistic stuff is better for immersion and the looks for the game rather than something based on gimmick.

I’m willing to accept, and understood since CBT, that rare weapons and prototype weapons would make an appearance as they’ve been present the whole time, I just figured that due to the introduction of Premium Squads and Gold Orders, they would be harder to obtain to simulate said rarity.

I never claimed that this game should be a warsim or a more realistic/tactical shooter, though I figured this game would try to strive for a balance (due to squad system) with those types of games with it’s arcadey gameplay. For example, it couldn’t hurt to pull the idea of a multiplayer campaign system like they had in Rising Storm or Red Orchestra II. They have a large map that is the basis for multiple battles.

If it was be something useful like belt fed MG-42 with 150 rounds more people would actually spend of them ,instead of those historically inaccurate wtf weapons .

Don’t worry, this game abandoned reality anyway.

keofox said axis will use stg44, soviet will use as44.

Imagine many Soviet soldiers carrying as44 instead of ppsh.
