Defences that are placed against deffenders aren’t stupid, they are absolutelly idiotic.
I get that both germans and US get some help, they should as its a game. But this help must make sense.

I get what you mean, but I dont mind the MG nests too much. They are so overpowered and attackers rarely use them in my limited experience. Seems like an attempt at balance. I had a good laugh when I started noticing all these MG pillboxes built ostensibly by defenders to fire at themselves XD

A fair point. I guess the real irony is that I agree that it sucks to have to deal with indestructible environmental barbed wire while trying to get anywhere in this game, and as such agree with Scipio in a way. My issue is that this problem is considered a non-issue when it affects the guys being mowed down wholesale while getting stuck in the wire trying to cross a beach. Earlier in this thread a player commented and bragged about making the D-Day map an “absolute hell” for Allied players. They may think they’re making Rommel proud and having the time of their life stacking up kills, when in reality they’re just making an already difficult experience for new players even worse. I can’t say I blame anyone for using the defenses they’re given, but when they turn around and complain about one tiny map feature that makes the experience marginally worse for them, it comes off as a bit tone-deaf.
This thread is literally about how the Allies are having a rough time because on this map the cards are pretty much all stacked against them, especially for new players who can’t easily address hill camping Panthers and haven’t yet learned to take the very wide flanks or blow holes in the walls. It’s not really the best place to air a grievance about some barbed wire on one point. Especially not immediately after bragging about how easy it is for the defenders.
