Logically, I should be able to do this. I just want to sort my squad loadout in a prettier order.

Yeah, I don’t like this solution as well. I am used to place planes to last slots.
And I just don’t have premium planes for every BR in every faction.

It should be really easy coding for the devs, but they just don’t pay much attention to the game… Every tiniest question take months to fix.

the Italian gold Re2001 is rather good with a 250kg btw
I know. But I always put different things in each preset. I don’t see any reason to make multiple presets that will consist of the same things.

The last slot is just for premium squad, the first 3 for infantry an the fourth for vehicle
It’s all about money. They want you to buy a premium squad to fill out the lineup. Of course, the base game is free, so I cannot totally blame them. 
I wish they would just let you use another infantry squad if you paid for it.
Same. I have planes as last and vehicles second to last.
