They’ve been “lying a little” since game the game started.
The “little” is not a little any more - it’s been steadily increasing until it is getting Warhammer-esque!
Indeed - although I think of it more as fantasy than fiction - fantasy is a much more pejorative term!
I’m on the same line of thought in that regard, as I’ve been having a blast playing high BR Soviets and Germany in Moscow maps. I also think it brought new life to an otherwise stale map rotation of just Berlin and Stalingrad and now we can play everywhere. I’ve played all factions today and noticed some strengths and weaknesses in certain maps that could be polished. For me Tunisia today was a bit of a mixed bag, as I had a win but also lost terribly on a previous one. But on the other hand I think Moscow plays great (maybe except for Quarry map). In my mind I’m pretending we’re fighting somewhere random in the snowy eastern front, and for this reason I don’t see the reason to call it ‘Battle of Moscow’ anymore and we could call it something else instead. But aesthetically, I feel Moscow maps in high br look the part and play great.
I understand where the complains are coming from and why this affects players to what they’re used to, but let’s remember this is just a test.
If, and that is a bit “IF” when it comes to DF, but if they do as they said they were going to do and let us choose our own maps, then they should be able to add all the maps they want, and if we choose, shouldn’t ever have to play Tunisia again. 
However, I get skeptical when this feature was kind of in the game to begin with, so it shouldn’t take to much work to reinstall that feature, yet, how long has it been since they said they were going to do it?
1 ) Preservation of the remains of the historical component (those crumbs that they have not yet managed to cynically executed and trample into the dirt)
2 ) Pseudo-opportunity to choose maps. The player can choose the BR that corresponds to his most preferred set of maps. Some people just hate Berlin and Seelow. And some even Stalingrad. And someone wants to play in Tunisia and only in Tunisia.
3 ) Very open early BR maps with excellent line of fire from one end to the other, which will turn into a concentrated essence of HUMAN SUFFERING if there are high BR tanks on them.
i really dont get it, ok the second Part is absolut ok for me, no Tiger 2 in Tunisia but i believe every low BR fits Berlin… tell me why i´m wrong

really i miss that Campaign System… BRs are nice but Campaign Szenarios was better for me…
What’s wrong with picking low BR gear to play on early war? Why do you even want to bring Jets to Moscow? Why make those maps lose their special gameplay loop?

Nothing changed in terms of historical accuracy. Everyone who says something different is either intentionally lying or delusional.
There is no difference between the M3A1 Grease Gun showing up in Tunisia and a 76mm Sherman.
At this point, why not a full mixed match, where japanese and allies fight against soviet in tunisia?
because people are still stuck to "historical beliefs " despite never have been a concrete point of this game beside the misleading promotional material back in 2020 and some script given to content creators every once in a while.
yet. it’s funny how most mentions how it would be unihistorical to use br III or lower equipment in for example, ardenne or berlin, despite completely ignoring that most of said equipment is from 1943 and even 1944.
( for example, the Puma sdkfz 234, the panzer III N, the volkssturm weapons such as the mp3008, VG2, VG1-5, Kriegsmodel kar 98k. but the same goes for most nations. )
in order to make it even remotely historical, half of the equipment would need to be readjusted in BRs or outright deleted as some never existed.
needless to say it’s quite futile and will never happen.
as people do not want to lose what they grinded for.
and, you cause massive unbalances as some of the later war vehicles or weapons were placed at earlier br because of not being really performant unlike other weapons.
Dunno, I think Soviets and Japanese should fight alongside so Soviet teams might actually win for once.

THis is all about they keep watering down the game to become just WT with Infantry without any semblance of historical authenthicity.
Not that f hard to grass.
Maps and Gear being matched up historically is what gives the WW2 Immersion, now you break that even more.
First was Campaigns with it’s Squads, weapons and vehicles for each campaign that gave a nice solid illusion of WW2 immersion, albeit a few outliers here and there, but wasn’t tha much problem,
and that comes form other parts of game mechanics and gameplay lacking, as in no restriction of loadouts and way too much Fortnite movement and gunplay, and so on.
Now also because you have Maps for different BR you can tailor the Maps for the weapons of that BR, as in usually weapons and vehicles have longer range and power the higher BR, so some maps are better tailored for this and that.
For me it’s just the lazy uncreative part about watering down the historical immersion.
you could do this better if you want more Maps, by havin atleast a set of Maps i.e a campaign in each theatre or season for all BRs, that would vary it, even gamemode and other ways todo it.
This change mark my words here is only because the Devs are desperately trying to make the game more popular, by forcefullt try to make it feel more populated, hence all design choices are to increase players in each queue so you feel like ohh so many people play, and htat would make it popular by somehow.

It’s a Game about the Historical conflict WW2, most of us came here because we care for Historical setups, we find History and especially Military History interesting and we also are Gamers of the Computer age, and we are dudes and dudes like to blow shit up and compete.
So stop BS about Historical not care, because you all do in some degree otherwise you wouldn’t be here.
And that you can’t think of ways to improve upon or develop or try support and go for the way of making it more ‘‘Enlisted’’ Enlisted and be more fun and historical is just sad and pathethic at this point…

For me I hope for some more realism, better more grittier combat represenation and more serious historical immersion with more historical matchmaking in what way are plausible without being to much set in stone, you know kinda like the Campaign was, How it set up to be from beginning…
But yeah best of luck to the Game and hope you stay happy once we get those Potman and the rest of his crew as Soldiers In-game and movie/series skins and have Girls und Panzers Camos for our vehicles, furries and whatnot you weirdos…

T-26, BT-7, T-28 are super early war tanks and were never in Berlin.
Panther, Tiger 2 are late war tanks and were never in Tunisia.
Many people came to this game for WW2 vibe, and that is anti-WW2 vibe.
A13 and Semo were also never in Tunisia.
