I have P-40E1 and IL-2(1941) on deck now.
The P-40E1 has a very nice ground attack capability, this is enough to destroy tanks camping in the grey zone or to knock down bots flooding into the CP zone.
But I need an attack plane for when my teammate already using fighters. But I feel the IL-2’s ground attack capability is lacking.
It tries to destroy tanks with rockets and bombs, but it is not easy to destroy them. So I am thinking of switching to other aircraft, are Su-2 or Sb-2m happy?
Id stick with the IL 2 personaly.
Has one of the most well rounded loadouts in the game IMO (without being overwhelming). Has something for everything. And can easily defend itself
Even your 23mm cannons can kill any tank you will meet at low br.

Il-2 is the best - it is much easier to kill with rockets than bombs, and this a/c gets both!
The 1941 version only gets 20mm cannon, which means they are only any use against the lightest of vehicles - eg halftracks and hte flak-panzer 1 (will be) are easy 
But they get heaps of ammo and are also good vs a/c and troops, so it is a very well balanced a/c at lower levels.

Ah…well even so…20mm still go through the top of panzer IIIS/IVs which is all you will see.
I don’t 'recall ever managing that - some of hte vehicles in Tunisia are really lightly armoured and 20mm can damage them, but that’s mostly Italian and British - not German IIRC
Practice is bugged but It can be done. Just tried it 4 times in practice to confirm (steep angle), and can certainly destroy IIIs and IVS… belt is FIT/API
works alot better in live games for whatever reason (addition of crew I suppose)
I use i16 and Su2BM bomber, that bomber can dogfight don’t underestimate it!

2 passes 2 Panzer IV kills. First one burned out from destroyed engine block (Panzer IV F2) as other one detonated under fire (Panzer IV H)
