Which gun is better

Focus on SMGs. SMGs will win you matches.

Or if you like slower gameplay, BAR is also great for BR3.

Semi autos are neither top tier in mid range nor in long range fights, pick M1 Garand or SVT just to fill in your non Assaulters, dont focus on those units.

Also the VG is much more versatile than G41.

An awful semi auto STG is still better than a semi auto with horribly long reload times.

Most fights are won in close quarters, and if your SMGs lack range, throw smoke and close the gap. Usually most SMGs are still excellent at 50 meters distance, as long as you force this combat distance on your enemies there is no need for rifles.

BR3 US smgs definitely are not something you should rely on.

Slower gameplay with BAR? And for what reason? Big huh?

Those are pretty contradictory statements. In cqc, semis are always the better option. Especially for people who aren’t good at shooting in hip firm with BAs. If you miss with BA, and you’re not at melee range, you just die.

Talking about the semi auto BR 3 VG, not the bolt action

Even if BAR doesn’t suffer as big with MG movement penalties, it still gets dispersion. That’s what I mean when talking about ā€œslower gameplayā€, run and gun isn’t as easy.

And yeah BR3 Thompsons aren’t all that great when compared with PPSH and other BR 3 SMGs - though in general still a good direction for effective gameplay, in the end even many BR1 SMGs can wipe squads quite fast - as long as they don’t have terrible magazine size, like the BR1 Beretta or the BR1 PPD.

Make sense

I disagree, BR3 Thompsons have twice the dispersion of BAR and more than three times the dispersion of WAR.

(WAR is the best of the ā€œBAR-likeā€ smgs stat wise, but it has worst sights).

With good perks, BAR-like MGs are better than Thompsons in pretty much all situations.
And I stand by my opinion.

Ah, a connoisseur!

I forgot I had this, then one day I stole… err… picked one that was conveniently lying on the ground and…
My Lord. What a beast. It’s unbelievably ugly, but what. A. Beast.
It reminds me of the Pedersen device rifle, the one with the giant pistol magazine goind out in diagonal.

Is it really that good?

From what I remember, I thought the gun was pretty lame. But I didn’t really play it that often, I had it in a sten mk III squad in Tunisia.

It is!

At first I also thought it was bad. I don’t know if it received a buff or some rof advantage one day, but it has absolute 0 visible recoil. For low br it’s really good. Pistol rounds thought.

I get irritated when one of my dudes dies and has a good gun, and the one guy I have remaining has a crappy weapon, so I go to pick up the dead dudes gun and someone else grabs it just before I do. I’m saying ā€œhey that’s mineā€ and want to shoot the guy, even though he’s on my side.

I would completely dump my M1 Carbines if they would let you have the S&W in the Tech tree. Send the M1 to level 1.

I’m actually fine with it: it means my teammate is smart and wants to have a stronger effect on the enemy!

Plus, I have all the stuff I need, maximum stars, and got 2 millions leftover silver… So if my dropped special gun can make someone else happy for a short while, I’m fine with

When I see them picking up my dropped lmgs, I feel proud of them

Yeah, he’s smart, but I end up dead sooner.

That’s just if your next soldier doesn’t have good stuff

If my controlled assaulter dies and I switch to an engineer for example, I also switch the way I act with the soldier. I charge less, I try to occupy a spot with ammunition and I’m more cautious!

But really, sharing is caring :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

In my experience AT GL are always better than regular GL not only because you can kill some tanks and ACP, but they feel more consistent than regular GL.
The US only has regular GL at BR III though, i personally prefer the GL SMLE but if you have to choose between the carbine or the Springfield choose it based in which base weapons you prefer.
