such a great question.
it’s also kinda why i made one for one of my upcoming mods ( granted, it’s not the historical one )
but, as far as i’m aware, no one ever talked about giving them the gas mask.

Unfortunately they gave it ONLY to the german AT GUNNER 2, and you have to play BR 4 or Br 5 for you to see him wear it. makes no sence.
I just made a topic on the RU forum about this back in 2022, got 26 likes there (not that many), but it’s still a shame that I didn’t get a response. I tried here too, bc why not…
That’s “gasmask factor” the only reason I didn’t buy them, because for me Guastatori should wear gas masks. They’re dressed like firefighters, even firefighters wear gas masks! But yeah, that’s my personal tragedy…

Not exactly, I remember that when keo was still our community manager, he forwarded my an someone else suggestion of giving gas mask to the flamethrower soldier, from then If I’m not mistaken James forwarded it too some times later, I find it strange isn’t happened yet even because the gas mask on the Offe arrived in a couple of days after the weapon was released

the gas mask is only given to any AT soldier type that USES the ofhenror 43.
the panzershreck without the shield. as historically it was given…
but then again, we have mr Rust engineer that uses machinegunnes which also have and get to wear a gas mask… for some reason…
so i’m not sure the conditions really apply anymore.

well, they did added a gas mask for the americans.

Italians use german gasmasks when given Ofenrohr too if anything, lazy devs
And british use american gas mask and paratrooper gloves
