What happened to the panther?

Seriously just stop it. You’re being blatantly insulting to us, your gaming community, by taking us for idiots.

I’ll give you a great example.

Do you know what’s UNIVERSALLY illegal in pretty much ALL countries of the world?

Murder. Killing each others.

Do you know what the game Enlisted is about?

Murdering. Killing each others.

Stop it. Just stop it with those fake excuses and double standards. Most of us are Seriously fed up with this.

do not dare to defend them, if this is so important to them why? they do not do this research before, they are a company this mistakes must not be there, this shows their laziness in developing the game, now let’s put it in terms of law, in poland and baltic countries the soviet symbols are banned by the state, go check how moscow and stalingrad are teeming with communist and stalinist stuff, starting with the assaulters in moscow with the NKVD skin

big ooof

I think this one is on us, not so much on the devs. I mean it’s one of the players who complained, although i fail to see a normal human being installing a WW2 themed shooter and thinking “owww gee… i hope i won’t get offended by something in this game”, OR EVEN BETTER… a horror game and thinking " i hope i won’t get scared in this game".

Remove NKVD squads then

Or replace soviet star with pentagram… i’m cool with that…

is on them, for avoid ww2 offended karen in first place wen you do a ww2 themed game you have do research of what you are putting in your game, if them add SS stuff for 4 months because they are cool withaut think to check if those is a SS stuff is only their fault, and no giustification can exscuse this because if SS stuff are banned due the law of some country the whole comunist and stalinist shit in the game has to be banned even for the same motive, fair and square

Did anyone check if the cod modern warfare series was offensive to afghans, russians, chechens etc? I don’t see anyone complaining about that… So it’s on us because we allow this oversensitive mentality to happen. How ppl replay medal of honor allied assault or call of duty 1-4 and get bothered by the symbols present in those games?

Here’s a funny fact, I’m romanian and since Romania started the war with the axis and switched side with the aliies, by todays standards i should be offended by everything in this game. Yet i take it as it is and advocate for realism and not censorship.

PS: i still think a romanian squad with a starting perk to “change team when losing battle” is a good ideea

I agree with everything but this. It would be a real struggle to do this and keep uniforms, gear and vehicles historical (according to the battle periods) and balanced

Really? Some of us have decades of coding experience and this smells like an excuse.

It’s so difficult the “sister” game where most assets are taken from already does it.

if it is such technical diffculty, i would be very happy if your team can do something about it, because many people love real historical symbols, camouflages… and not this faff around camouflages and decals

i understand obstacles and laws in different countries that comes against it … but enlisted would be amazing (and enlisted wants to be amazing game) if such symbols and as less censorship as possible would be shown in the game with player decision whether he wants censorship or not

and i certainly would not want to see such symbols monetized and be available for gold or money …

So many nazi fa… Cant understand why they like(to keep/use/see) SS symbols. Especially SS was not representing German people’s interest. They were solely on Hitler’s side.

Also try this:

Also Enlisted never introduced NKVD’s insignia:

In game, it’s just a blue hat.

To by-pass restriction, dev could consider release/LEAK logo replacement mod for supplement. Pretty common for games to do this:

Give it a nice dark one like that STZ in Stalingrad

Not the whole story

Today, certain countries such as Germany (see Strafgesetzbuch section 86a), Austria, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, Brazil, and Israel have banned Nazi symbols and it is considered a criminal offence if they are displayed publicly for non-educational purposes. On August 9, 2018, Germany lifted the ban on the usage of swastikas and other Nazi symbols in video games. “Through the change in the interpretation of the law, games that critically look at current affairs can for the first time be given a USK age rating”, USK managing director Elisabeth Secker told CTV. “This has long been the case for films and with regards to the freedom of the arts, this is now rightly also the case with computer and videogames.”[8][9]

Examples are Nazi symbols, such as the swastika and the SS logo. It is legal to use the symbols for educational and artistic purposes.

Oh thanks to show my point.
Or why should Df give a crap if the swastika etc. is banned in German under normal circumstances but allowed for “art” purpose (including video games)?

Germany did.

But the other countries in that list didn’t. Right?

I m still surprised to see cod games with swasticas sold on that territories or games like early medal of honor / wolfenstein tho…

  1. There’s lots of other countries still banning these symbols.
  2. Even Germany still has restrict use of this symbols.

USK will still review all games to judge whether the use of imagery under Section 86a remains within the social adequacy clause and deny ratings to those that fail to meet this allowance.[30]
