What do you think about the price of the premium squads?

Hello i was starting Tunissia after i finished Stalingrad, and i was thinking about buying a premium squad, or a couple… but they are pretty expensive… I think its not a pretty good buissness to put for 42 / 45 € an only squad for 1 side of the campaing.

I use the example of War thunder, 50€ cost a premium to research up to tier 6, and you have other options obviously, for less or more price.

In my opinion put a less price in the squads will give more money to the developers as more people will affort to buy more and more squads, so more money to the company.
A normal player will see 20€ of squad and will say “okay a little gifth because today i pass a test”, and will buy it, but the same player when see 45€ a squad maybe will say “I pass the test but with 45€ i can do a lot of things…”

I just want to see the opinion of the people, i am studying and yes i bought premiums of 70€ in war thunder but is a different kind of grind and i said okay i will buy it because i will obtain a lot of hours back, but this game is base on squads, you will not play with only that squad all of the game and you will not get that +100% exp entirely, just a portion…

Ty in advance!

I think price is completely okay for what you get. I bought tens of premium squads and I don’t regret it. I gladly support this game.

If youd want spend much, premium account/time is the thing you want.

Prices are definitively too much, around 20 euro would be fine, except then the 1st world fan boys wouldn’t feel special…

Definitely too high, but that’s their business model. They aim for the fewer whales (which I’m part of) instead of the majority of the playerbase.

Is it good or “ethical” to only aim for a select few instead of the majority? No. Gaijin/df s*** ba**s.

But it’s legal, and sadly more lucrative (truly, I was surprised too.)

game does alot of discounts and isnt the first time they deployed multiple premiums on a single bundle for alot off normal price.

if you feel its too high of a price, wait for a discount.

for me personaly, i dont care much about the price. they were all worth my money so far.

They could give older squads some love and give em engineers, thought.

They easily can, and proved it multiple times.

They’re just lazy (or plain greedy).

that makes no sence since they would get more sales if they did.
there is more in the equation than we know of.

one can point the finger at what ever angle, for me personaly and judging alot of f2p games, darkflow sometimes feel alergic to money.
.

Statistics tell that f2p games get the most monney from whales.
Gajin monetisation model seem to follow this idea.

They wouldn’t:

The way they operate is to release premiums which are always better and stronger than the previous version. This is intended to sell more, by making older ones obsolete…

Take Moscow axis:

1- mg30 squad, 4 men only.
2- 5 men 75drum lmg (1 engy)
3- 5 men with possibly best lmg in game (2 engies!)

They only updated mg30 after the uproar of the community pointing them out as greedy a… people. (Could not build big hmg without).

So yeah, not upgrading older squads is part of their business model, programmed obsolescence. New squad will always be more powerful.

We’re really not with cool, NOT p2w and just unique squads anymore, sadly…

They are priced as such because people buy them. I can’t really fault Gaijin for taking advantage of whales.

I feel the price is too high for what i get, i bought all the alpha and beta packs for undreds of euros, because they offer me instant access and a prior grind in the alpha and beta packs but for example buy the Stalingrad for 30€ you get x4 of xp and a lot more if u combined with premium and another things as Pacific, 60€ for both campaigns and you get a really juicy bonus… but 45€ for 1 pioner squad in Tunisia… Idk

Oh, those access packs (Stalingrad and Pacific) were DEFINITELY worth it, on this I won’t object.

Hope we will keep those benefits after big update.

Don’t forget that premiums, like normal squads, also follow a tier (level). If that even makes sence.
It’s like they follow f2p squad levels…

Price, composition, perks, etc as a sign of.

So new, will always be better.

But ye, i see your point.
I still love my mg30 tho, it’s far from obsolete, but your point makes sence.

Although…

The new mechanics (tiers) might them suddenly much… MUCH more viable depending on which br ppl want to play.

Mg30 might be used more, at lower br for example (it’s a really great lmg).

Still… I miss engies in other old squads, such as my Moscow beretta one. I’d use it a lot if I play low br. But as of now, mp38 guys with engies seems much better… :frowning:

This guy gets it ! :+1:

One :whale: is worth hundreds if not a thousand other players with just Battlepass/Premium Time/Nothing purchased whatsoever.

I don’t think that will necessarily be the case moving forward with varying BR tiers.

They hunt for the big games!

Thats another story,

I was just following the current development of premiums under a single campaign over the development period as of now.

I’m still pretty skeptical of the new changes about the BR… and how it will affect the premium packs of campaigns, and also!! Are they going to introduce a new campaign before the big changes with the progression?

Dont ask, just consume premiums and get excited for next one.
