I would like to know your opinion about the second soviet tank in Moscow.
To make it easier and more precise to formulate your opinion, I will write a couple of questions below.
1.How good is it against aviation?
2.How good is it against infantry at a distance?
3.How good against infantry at close distance?
4.How good against tanks at a distance?
5.How good against tanks at a close distance?
6.How maneuverable is it?
7.How well does it survive?
8.Which tanks are a problem for him?
9.Which tanks are not a problem for him?
10.How good is his view?
its a tank, dont bother with planes(unless one really lines itself in you sights)
its ok againt infatry- ist gun is pretty good, but its MG sucks
againt tanks its ok- pretty big gun with APHE(altough you probably wont oneshot because german tanks have so much smpty space and crew). the tanks itself is pretty fragile(3 crammed crew members)
its very underpowered and slow
most tanks arent really an issue for it(it can kill almost anything, it can get killed by anything)
the only thing that could cause problems would be a well angled pz3 j(altough even that has weakspots)
T26 is the worst tank of the Russian side, there’s nothing it does well. It’s bad at anti-infantry, not great as anti-tank because it’s SLOW, can’t position itself well. And it has no armour. The t60 is better at least in mobility and is great at anti infantry.
Gentlemen as soon as you can, use the wonderful bt7. Or use a gold order like everyone…
hard disagree on being the worst
t60s autocannon is barely more than an MG(useless againt tanks, almost no explosives), while t26 can fight tanks and its gun is overall pretty good againt infantry. and funnily its more survivable than BT7(in BT i usually get oneshot where with t26 at least the driver often survives)
the only place where it really struggles is very uneven maps because its so underpowered
Bad, cannon is weak and needs to fight at close range
Is good at close distance but not too close if that makes sense, stay by your infantry
Its good at distance against tanks, its 45mm is one of the best cannons in Moscow, the same as the legendary BT-7s.
Not bad, not good, lack of maneuverability can get it easily killed by it getting flanked.
Very bad maneuverability, extremely sluggish.
It has no survivability, since its speed is low it cannot dodge shots (unlike the BT-7), its armor is extremely weak and is vulnerable to every AT gun, rifle, tank.
Every tank in Moscow. Unless the player is smart and sets up ambushes in the bushes on defense. Still lacks the mobility of BT-7 to get away from danger or charge enemy tanks.
The least problematic - PZII, PZIIIB.
View is surprisingly decent. It doesnt have the amazing german hatch but it does have a good commanders view, also it has several view ports. His view is the only thing that is better than the BT-7 which has a useless commanders view (looking to the side).
In conclusion - Its a mediocre tank. It can kill everything but can die more easily than his enemies. Mostly should be used as a defensive weapon. It doesnt live up to expectations on what would be an amazing tank -T28, BT7, T50. But is better than the first 3 german tanks and can kill any german tank.
i disagree on it being worse than the t60. I think its better because of its gun. Meaning you can kill any tank. Best use it defensively in ambushes along roads, and stay in bushes hidden when you have a good shot. The t60 doesnt have the luxury of being able to kill any tank. It can only kill B and PZII
T26 is worse because it doesn’t do anything WELL. Sure it has the same decent canon as other tanks, but that’s it. Horrible mobility, very bad anti infantry capability.
The mistake you made is that you compare the t60 anti tank capability with the t26. IT’S NOT THE T60 ROLE! the t60 should ONLY be used vs infantry and very light armoured vehicles… and vs infantry, the t60 is amazing (plus it has God like armour for it’s tier)
Maybe. But what are you going to do when a tank appears? In the t60 - youre dead. In the t26 there is a good chance that you will kill the tank.
It may have worse infantry killing capabilities but it has HE. That if you hit a person his whole squad is dead.
T60 is better in some areas yes but as a jack of all trades take t26.
T60 can even bounce pz4 shells sometimes smart t60 drivers fall back behind cover still allowing them to cover infantry, and so, make “a killing”. Poor t26 on the other hand has no choice but to try and face any tank it faces, as it’s just too slow to take cover and fall back. And because it’s paper thin… yeah.
I found the T-60 a pain in the… and a very situational tank that is somewhat decent as long as no other tank is around while the reload time of the cannon and MG is rather annoying.
While the T-26 is a rather poor anti-infantry tank you can at least take out other tanks now rather reliably that otherwise pin your team down, so it’s an upgrade to the T-60 in my book.
