Just as the title says. What are y’alls opinions? Personally I like them, but feel like they need more refinement.
Are good for do some “medical support” during the relax time between firefigth, and score some extra point or become a tactical strike unit for some blitzkrieg
i just use them as assaulters
I use them in two roles:
- Assault squad with extra steps. Ocasional healing and medbox but I use them for run&gun most of the time.
- Roleplay. I have medics in all my squads because yes.
I don’t think AI can do anything related to healing so they are only for “looks”.
It was a mistake to give them SMGs if you ask me.
A good way to have 6 automatic guns in a Assaulter squad.

Besides it being just another assaulter, it’s actually was (pre nerf) one of best alternative classess.
Main ones being tankers, bombers(mostly), assaulters and mg’s that are op meta.
And when You want to play something diffrent there were second best with unique playstlye, not just rushing to objective but staying behind allies and supporting.
Best alt class is still flamethrower, with mortars (cancer), radio (bigger cancer, canlcel screen shake already) and whatever i forgot being miles behind.

i do agree with fellow above, they are not a good fit for 1 shot kill stalingrad, but they could be too op on old campaigns where only explosives can actually kill someone
More of a “ohh ohh I need a quick squad to drop down in a busy battle and support your team.”
I have had a few moments where guys were dying all around me and it was pretty sweet reviving them all to keep fighting… I think the squad needs better map / info regarding who is hurt so you can heal on the battle field properly… perhaps dragging a body to a safe position… haha
Honestly enjoy using them want to see them in other campaigns though because I don’t play Stalingrad to much
The squad would be used more if you could have other troopers in the squad, as they are now they are a worse Assaulter squad due to the smaller size and lack of engineers/other troopers.
More useful than ppl think. Especially good to heal your +35% health guys. Those remain standing after a fight, with a sliver of hp. A simple medical guy in your squad can put him back full life in 1 or 2 seconds with syringes… very useful for heavy gunner defenders or big hp pool assaulters.
It does however need some getting used to.
Health crate is also a nice bonus.

Useless since AI don’t do the healing in their own, too time consuming if done by a player
Stupid that a combat medic can’t patch up his injuries faster, he has to do it at the same speed as a inexperienced infantrymen, but i understand the need for balance
They work very well in lone fighters since you actually can help some players by with healing and medkits
Semi useless (a tad bit useful just because of 6 soldiers with access to smgs) should’ve just given the engineer a medkit box building just like i said many times before
Personally i like the medic class, i would prefer that all squads have a dedicated medic built into the squad rather than have a separate Medic squad and have the AI for medics heal their allies during the battles.
I foreseen this before it even came out…
I think the medical package mechanism of battlefield 5 is better. The medical process of enlisted is cumbersome and long. In most cases, when soldiers are injured, players will directly switch to the next person in the team, and it’s stupid to catch up with running soldiers and treat them.
the medic class it self it’s good imo. but got lots of issues.
can be usefull for defence ( mostly ) and somewhat okish in attacks.
downsides are that there are no way to refill syringes.
i’d wish to be able to refill them taking one medkit space in the medical box.
but that’s just me.
i don’t really like that they can use smgs nor the fact that the squad has basically only medics for a total of 5.
and with the new update, you got limited xps on healing the same person ( that makes 0 sense. but devs are the same people so… what can we do )
therefore due to those downside you don’t see many people healing as it’s clear that enlisted does not want to reward teamplay and only individualism.
I like the medic class but I rarely use the squad itself. I use them with other squads. Ammo box and a medic box next to it. Classy.
After playing the Medic class a bit, I have removed that squad from my line-up as it is not a viable class as far I am concerned. Medics are basically just reskinned Assaulters with extra medkits. Reviving your allies is not viable for capturing or defending the objective, it’s more efficient to let them swap to an available AI and keep fighting.
The class is also a bit overpowered because they can drop their box in a campsite and have more medkits than anyone else. This means they can be downed several times and rise back up to fight back. If I could make a single suggestion, I would limit Medics to their own squad, instead of allowing them to integrate into other squads like Engineering or sniping, and limit the class to one Medic squad per team per match.
Honestly ? not that useful when you can die so easily sure you can place medical boxes and heal people. But they would be a lot more effective if you could actually revive people a certain amount of times.
However you would not be able to revive the same person more than once and of course if there hit in the head then you would not be able to revive them.
