Can anyone tell me what the gold stars are in the upper left hand of the screen. There is Enlisted Gold, than Enlisted Silver, and then Gold stars that can be used to accelerate research. Are these Gold stars related to the amount of Gold you have in account, or are they separate?

Edit i misunderstood. Those are research points and im not sure why they are banked like that.
Okay so the question I have is if I use them to research a weapon, am I spending Gold?

The reason I’m asking is because when I click accelerate research for a weapon, it shows the number of stars I have and the amount of gold. It’s not clear if that means that number of research points equals that amount of gold, or if it is just showing the amount of research points and gold I have.
accelerated research can be done with 2 things. free xp (aka stars) and gold. these are not regular ways to research things and should not be used. you can use gold if you are whale and dont mind spending hundreds or thousands of dollars to progress.

Just checked, and 1000 Gold gives you about 1820 research points.
Yeah it is completely unrealistic to use gold to research. I had 82 research points and used them to see what would happen, and it unlocked 182/100000 for the weapon. So based on that I did the above conversion, but realize that isn’t correct either because I made an assumption about the value of gold:research points.

i dont think this is correct value. think that 1 gold is somewhere around 100xp

If you have everything unlocked Every time you play that country, you’ll earn accumulated XP for future use.
