Well this is a serious gameplay problem

When you order bots to defend a point, they just stand in the center of it in a crowd…

Is it worth saying that this is stupid and anti-motivating to protect the point?
I suggest adding interaction with shelters for bots \ dispersal throughout the zone, in any case, anything, but so that they don’t stand in the center big crowd.

What formation you have them on Close? Change to wide or standard…

In my experience, bots don’t maintain formation when you order them to stand somewhere; they just bunch up nice and tight. This seems to be more pronounced after the last patch that updated bot ai.

It’s more a bug report.
Since one month ago they take position in buildings.

It’s standard judging by UI.

Last patch made AI maintain spacing also when ordered to hold the ground (previously worked only when following).

They keep take position, but in hause or similar, other bulding different from that dont work

It seems to be different depending on the area.
If they can’t find a valid place to take positions they just bunch up in a pile

I did come across some guy sitting in a corner under a pile of 5 bots in a building where they used to be smarter in.

I recently saw my bots taking positions near the doors each. Surprisingly.

This hadn’t been my experience since the last patch; whenever I point them somewhere they fought to stand on the exact same spot at times. I guess I’ll have to experiment more with squad formations.

Well you can tell he has not set the behavior’s or formation the icons are not on the screen.

I guess you can always use the individual order function until they do something with this half a year later. (Not a diss on the devs, I know how long these things take to fix only for them to be broken for seemingly no reason next update again)

Sadly this isn’t the only outstanding issues with them.

It’s too crookedly done. (The order is canceled as soon as you have selected this bot)
And secondly, you still have a distance limit.

The standard formation does not have an icon.
