FG is already powerful enough, because it is for some reason a rifle.
It should get more ammo only if it is locked for the machine gunner, otherwise no.
In this game its excatly in same category as avs, svt, g41, g34 etc…
G43 Kurz and scheisser is limited to 1 or 2 soldiers and BAR to gunners only so fg42 isnt even close to those weapons.
Actually if devs gives BAR to every soldier and reduce its ammo count to same as fg42 or only allow gunners to use fg THEN those 2 are even comparable.
Still worse then fg 42
Thats how it works. Some german mains just have problems to realise why they cant have advantages that no one else have
Thats how its been even cbt. Mayby they think if they flag every post that dont glorify german they get some buffs
Engineers are a thing.
Every rifle-caliber semi auto gets ~30 rounds total divided among magazine size.
The FG 42 already gets 40 total.
The only semi auto that has a justified quantity of reserve ammunition are M2 carbines- Which are essentially SMGs you can equip on everyone.
The ammunition problem applies to all rifles.
The average soldier doesn’t last until he runs out of ammo.
Engineers in all your squads resolve the ammo problem.
I don’t see the issue unless people panic spray.
So lets better nerf the stats?
I guess its users would like it more than using pouches or engineers.
I have 1 engineer in my squad who may die through no fault of my own. I don’t want to waste extra time building crates. This is an artificial problem. Maybe give soldiers a little more ammo so they don’t always need crates?
And running to the crate every 30 seconds is awful. Considering the ammo in a loaded magazine doesn’t replenish, you get a maximum of 20 rounds from the crate. Incredibly convenient!
If most people have enough ammo as it is, why not increase the amount?
There is no point in weakening anything, the Germans are not dominant in Normandy as it is. Many good players agreed with this opinion.
A soldier with fg still dies in the body from 1 garand shot.
The stats are consistent with its currently-assigned weapon class.
So the options are keep it as is, or change its class and adjust it to be consistent with that class.
Garand: 32 rounds total
SVT-34/38: 30 rounds total
G41/43: 30 rounds total
AVS-36: 30 rounds total
FG-42: 40 rounds total
The ammo you get is more or less 30, but rounded up/down to the closest magazine equivalent. In the FG-42’s case, you get 40 rounds total because it has a 20 round magazine.
… The same applies to every other semi-automatic rifle.
Sounds like a skill issue if having the highest amount rounds for a rifle-caliber semi-automatic isn’t enough.
Buddy, that’s what I’m saying, ALL rifles need 15-20 extra rounds, otherwise there’s no point in getting anything but an ammo pouch, are you reading what I’m writing??? Why are you throwing me the number of rounds in them I know it all
Maybe don’t magdump every time you see someone.
If you have enough 30 rounds on your rifle, you’re losing to any opponent, no normal player (even an average player) would have enough.
Most semi autos kill in 2 shots at most ranges.
Build ammo stations + run large ammo pouches. It’s fine as is.
the problem is that the fg42 IS the best semi auto rifle in the entire game, is not necessary to give it a buff.
All rifles need extra ammunition. They can make far fewer kills than machine guns or SMGs. Sometimes the number of magazines looks stupid, like the AVS and FG.
An extra magazine will not make the FG OP. Whether it has even 10 magazines, you just shoot it with any weapon and it dies, you don’t know how to shoot?
Yes fg is a good weapon, but it doesn’t make the fighter invulnerable or add reaction to the player, it’s just more convenient than some others.
Local entitled player argues you can’t fight even with the best rifle-caliber semi-automatic rifle in the game.
ok its all fun and all but the fg42 DONT NEED A BUFF AT ITS AMMUNITION <------ that’s the point, you can give it at your whole squad, you can reffil it anywhere, has the most amount of ammo of any rifle.
it’s ok like this
I don’t think so. Right now the cartridge bag is an auto-choice. It shouldn’t be that way. There’s no point in getting a backpack if I have almost no ammo without it.
