We need more types of troops to enrich our game and make it more exciting! Perhaps my suggestion is not appropriate, but I hope it can inspire developers!

Traffic Force
Are you still troubled by the complex road conditions? Are you still worried about your Allies getting lost? Or find an excellent offensive route but fail to notify friendly units well?
Now we have such soldiers in charge of traffic. They can place multiple road signs, and between two road signs, a clear route can be displayed on the personal maps of all friendly units!
I believe this unit will enable us to cooperate better and win the war!

Fraudulent engineer
During World War II, this tactic was widely applied. Through this low-cost fraud, the enemy forces were misled or their precious ammunition was wasted!
Now we have this unique engineer. They can build a device that will display marks on the maps carried by enemy units. The enemy might think those are the marks of their friendly forces! Then make them misjudge the direction of our attack or waste their artillery bombardment times!
At the same time, it will also be displayed on the personal maps of friendly units to inform friendly forces not to enter this area that may be attacked

Armored Maintenance Soldier
They are members of the armored forces, but they do not fight in armored vehicles. Instead, they carry tools and fire extinguishers to rescue damaged friendly armored units!
Now we have such maintenance soldiers. They carry large tool kits that cannot be removed, and inside the large tool kits are a large number of tools.
At the same time, they also have the same skills as the armored forces, with a faster repair speed and a faster fire-fighting speed!
In addition, add a quick command for the armored forces: “I need repairs!” Call out to the nearby friendly maintenance troops so that you don’t have to take the risk of climbing out to repair it yourself!
Let’s cooperate better to win the war!

Military supply officer
Although our soldiers do not need to eat, in reality, logistical capabilities and supply officers are crucial factors in determining the outcome of a war!
Now, we have military supply officers who bring our soldiers the only thing they can eat - water
The military supply officer will place military supply boxes on the ground. Our soldiers can use the boxes at any time to replenish water and be ready for the next charge!

Scout
Professional scouts can detect the situation behind the enemy’s rear, and timely and accurate intelligence can turn the tide of battle!
Now we have these scouts, who can enter the enemy’s rear areas like guerrillas. And they are more professional. Their markings will be able to show the distance just like what mortar drivers see, allowing friendly units to have a better judgment!
Personnel suggestions: 3 scouts (can be equipped with rifles or sniper rifles), 1 communication soldier, and 1 guerrilla member (can be understood as a guide entering the enemy’s rear area)

Militia force
War is not only a war of soldiers, but also a war of countless patriotic civilians!
Although they have not received professional training and do not have good equipment, all they have are old hunting guns in their hands or captured weapons, as well as the courage in their hearts!
Now we have such militia forces. Led by guerrilla members, they can enter the enemy’s rear areas, obstruct the enemy troops, and buy time and provide cover for friendly forces!
Personnel suggestions: 1 guerrilla fighter, 8 militiamen (no double weapons, no multiple tnt explosives, no large ammunition packs)

Behind enemy lines, engineers
Now we have these enemy rear engineers. They can follow guerrilla members into enemy rear areas and build fortifications outside assembly points! They can build barrier horses, barbed wire and other facilities along the enemy’s necessary routes to delay their movements!
Personnel suggestions: 1 guerrilla member and 4 engineers behind enemy lines

Ammunition transporter
Are you still troubled by the lack of bullets and the fact that there are no engineers nearby to build ammunition boxes?
Now we have these ammunition transport soldiers. They carry small ammunition boxes and provide us with ammunition!
This kind of ammunition transport soldier, like a medical soldier, carries an ammunition box in the backpack compartment (for example, the small one on a motorcycle), and friendly troops can approach to replenish ammunition. Carry a small ammunition box that can be placed in the second weapon bar!
To prevent ordinary engineers from losing their jobs, the ammunition boxes of these ammunition transport soldiers will have a lower capacity and be more vulnerable to damage.

Second-order medical soldier
In reality, timely rescue can save the lives of a large number of soldiers! So there would be field hospitals converted from trucks or armored vehicles active on the battlefield
Now we have these second-order medical soldiers driving medical vehicles. They drive a medical vehicle and can reach the frontline at a relatively fast speed! And the vehicle is carrying a large number of medical supplies. Friendly troops can approach this medical vehicle to replenish the first aid kit!
Personnel recommendations: 1 driver, 1 assault soldier (in the role of a guard), and 4 medical soldiers
Configuration suggestions (taking the German army as an example) :
A regular team, a medical vehicle modified from a truck or a four-wheel jeep
Advanced team or activity team, a medical vehicle modified from an sdkfz armored vehicle

Ok. I just want to make it more convenient for players from other countries to read
Artillery/anti-aircraft gunner
Are you still troubled by the difficulty for ordinary soldiers to operate artillery or anti-aircraft guns?
Now we have such professional artillerymen/anti-aircraft gunners!
Artillery has the same skills as armored forces: faster aiming and faster loading!
Anti-aircraft gunners have the same skills as pilots, being able to spot aircraft from a greater distance and identify their enemy or foe at a greater distance!

Mountain Soldier Unit
These professional mountain soldiers have received specialized training, so they possess strong field combat and obstacle-crossing capabilities!
Now we have these mountain soldiers. Compared with ordinary soldiers, they have more skill points, climb faster, climb higher, and have greater endurance!
They also have unique field battle costumes and mountain soldier costumes!

Grenadier
Our perception of grenadier is that it was an elite force of the German army during World War II, but in fact, grenadier already existed during the Napoleonic Wars!
Now we have this kind of grenadier. Compared with ordinary soldiers, they have a unique large grenade bag. When carrying one grenade, they actually carry six grenades! (Just like a guerrilla force carrying only one tnt explosive but actually having five tnt explosives)
Now we can use them to clear the trenches and bunkers better!

Cavalry unit
I’m sorry, but they don’t have horses! But they have unique cavalry sabers!
In the early stage of World War II, some countries still retained their cavalry units
However, the “Blitzkrieg” proved that the cavalry had fallen behind, so those cavalry units were urgently reorganized into other units. But the proud cavalrymen still kept their cavalry swords and charged at critical moments with them brandished their swords!
Now we have this kind of infantry adapted from cavalry units. But compared with ordinary soldiers, they not only have unique cavalry uniforms, but also carry an unremovable cavalry saber!
Personnel recommendation: 9 infantrymen (main weapons can be changed, carrying a non-detachable cavalry saber)

Field communication soldier
Are you frustrated by spotting the enemy troops, but there are no signalmen in your squad calling for artillery fire?
Now we have this kind of field communication soldier! They can set up a fully functional large fixed radio station for all friendly units to use!
When friendly forces call for artillery fire or air strikes, such communication soldiers can earn assist points
Personnel suggestion: 2 engineers and 3 communication soldiers, each with a unique appearance and carrying cable coils on their backs
I don’t think this should be an a separate class. Maybe giving engineers the ability to make signs might be a good idea but idk anyone who would use it seriously
Interesting idea, however I don’t like the idea of having players question their own team’s marks/ communications
A lot of these roles are already filled in game either by specific squads or by general game mechanics. Splintering troop types down even further would not help the game as that is not the players mindset.
And trying to change the playerbase mindset just isn’t gonna happen. For better or worse, unfortunately.
That said would love to see more engineer stuff like dummy vehicles that if the enemy marks them get marked as an enemy vehicle. Or a deployable water tank for people to refill flasks at.
Would be nice to have a proper Munitions engineer to deploy boxes to refill grenades at too. But then we’re just powercreeping engies at this point…
No we absolutely do not.
Adding more badly designed and implemented nonsense hard-coded troop divisions will just muddy the waters and confuse players
