Those larger AA guns, 88/75 exc, we’re not really intended for shooting at low level aircraft that were maneuvering but more like for formations of aircraft, the gun they modeled is probably the most effective that they could’ve, but it’s not especially realistically Made, you have that artificial tracking device you’re not actually looking through the real gun sight, and the magazines were 20 round’s each for each gun.

I think the problem from a practical standpoint with the larger AA guns, 88/75 exc, Is that the way that they worked was with a proximity fuse/ timed fuse, so that would be like a whole different thing, there really wouldn’t be a way that you could track the bombers and shoot them with a big gun like that not like you could with a 37 mm or a 40 mm AA gun.
Your suggestion of going with 37 mm or 40 mm guns, kind of the mid range mid altitude guns, with easily reach the bombers from Stalingrad and were actually point detonating, although they did also fire timed fuses, but they could point detonate.
Both AA truck and Halftrucks are present in the game from a lot of time, Halftrucks was used during normandy alpha for example, we have only wait the gonna re-add them, and as they sayed soon™

Is this trolling? Anti-aircraft guns have already been made very strong, they have increased ammunition, reloading speed, firing angle up, turning barrels much faster. I still remember those times when it was impossible to replenish ammunition from anti-aircraft guns. P.S. Once I destroyed 14 planes from an anti-aircraft gun and never died.

See screenshot where I shot down 14 planes. All these planes were controlled by players. And they weren’t kamikazes. This is Normandy, not Stalingrad. It is very, very easy to shoot down an aircraft from an anti-aircraft gun.

That’s lucky for you. Everyone else suffers from desync and incorrect hit markers, dumping tons of rounds into planes for nothing to happen.
I don’t see why not, in real life they were often used in that role, and when I’m flying I much prefer that they be shooting at infantry it’s easy to spot them and kill them with a plane
Well yeah, I understand you point, but it’s meh in a fps game where users go their way to spend all match building aa guns than helping their team. Specially when the team clearly needs another hand.

Well this is the classic debate that we seem to have from time to time, the one where if you’re not on the point you’re not contributing, I see a lot of these guns being built pretty close to the point though And being used on ground targets.
It would be nice if they added AA vehicles though, like one active per side at a time, but in a new vehicle slot.

It’d be silly if we werent able to kill infantry with 20mm autocannons. I rather people just not be able to place em in impossible places like in a cramped room with a window when irl it wouldnt have been able to fit through the door.
That would be awesome, but I’d like for em to make the maps larger first.
