If Pacific flops just like Stalingrad, this game is done for.
I wouldn’t even mind the Stalingrad model, except with 1 change: no locked levels. To me the x8 exp + all squad slots + meme tank was worth the purchase. But locking levels and then forcing the F2P to grind them is just asking for them not to touch the campaign.
Pacific full access being paywalled is fine, Pacific full access being paywalled and F2P still having to grind for content they won’t actually receive is not fine.
If Pacific will indeed be paywalled then F2P should be able to completely bypass paywalled content. So if say level 5 is paywalled, F2P should not have to grind for level 5 and instead should just start grinding level 6 directly after achieving level 4.
If a F2P user decides to pay for full access later then once they pay they can just have their campaign progress temporarily locked until they have grinded the previous paywalled levels that they were allowed to skip.
Alternatively, make it so that everything past say level 20 is locked and nothing before, that way it won’t matter if they still get XP or not.
yay another campaing to divide shrinking player base more. Bot campaings here we come!
Atleast the Japanese are going to be the completely new faction while the Americans in the Pacific are going to have different uniforms and loadouts unlike the Eastern Front which was already split into 3 plus Stalingrad being poorly executed with not much map selection have the almost same guns across three campaigns with the only difference being early war and late war vehicles.
They better not paywall the unlocks and just rename full access into something else with just double xp to prevent leveling too fast like Americans who paid more spam drum mag Thompsons.
We don’t need more campaigns and queues for two more factions as long as they keep dividing the playerbase and we don’t have “play any” option to unify the players.
