But remember that Gajins understanding of history is far superior to us plebs

True, but even the excuse of “it existed during that time frame” can’t cut it, because the timeframes for the Sherman and Chi Ha Kai are almost identical.

Is the M4 Sherman sent to Pacific fronts in 1942?
As far as remember, in 1st stage operation and 2nd stage operation of Japanese, they did not encountered it. For example, in battle of Philippines in 1942, Japanese had Chi-Ha Kai but US force had only M3 GMC and M3 Stuart.

Also, surely US forces already had M1 Garand but it did not fully satisfied and most of troops in Philippines (idk other islands) had M1903 Springfield. Because of it, in battle of Philippines in 1944 most of Japanese garrison had Springfield.

No, the Sherman entered production in early 1942, and in mid-1942 they were literally ripped out of American units to be sent to the British in North Africa. Shermans only started showing up in the Pacific once the factories had gotten to full strength due to the “Germany First” doctrine of the Allies. However, the devs have shown themselves willing to just disregard such things. Furthermore, the Chi Ha Kai also enters production in early 1942 as well, making the design window of the two tanks roughly the same, although there may be a window where the Chi Ha Kai was in service, but the Sherman had not yet reached the Pacific. I need to look into that more.
Also yes, while most of the US forces at Guadalcanal and the Philippines did have older equipment, the Garand was definitely there and will still likely appear, just at a higher level like in Tunisia. Don’t know how the devs will tackle that if they choose anything pre-1945.
