Personally, if they dont care making event matches adjust win rates, why not let them count as matchs for the forum as well?

I love that the Dev’s response to people wanting a classic WWII gun is “get a box with .0001% chance of pulling it (due to all the slop) that has no pity system”

One year ago I was saying that you people overreacted and it was just some random April fool event - but now the devs are again threatening to implement some of those soldiers into the base game.
Little did I know that this actually seems to be the direction the game is heading…
Yeah, the core audience of Enlisted are WW2 nerds - and as such it was 100% logical that this event would be negatively viewed. Authentic WW2 games are the opposite of Fortnight and such weird shooters. The devs seem very disconnected to their own players in this regard.

The last year or so has probably been the worst in terms of the game’s direction indeed.
Ever since the Merge happened (more than a YEAR ago), literally nothing has been done to fix things at least here and there, even without touching the BRs:
- yellow tanks have not been painted white for winter maps
- Moroccan premium squad still storms Normandy wearing their robes
- Volkssurm premium squad still runs around Stalingrad in business suits
- Stalingrad still gets the BR4-5 AS-44 treatment, i.e. no high BR Soviet map has been added instead
On the contrary, over the last year or so we have seen the addition of:
- Ho-Ri, Enlisted’s first full paper (fake) vehicle
- Rocket Pershing, Enlisted’s first post-WW2 vehicle
- T20, Autohei, Hyde, etc. – weapons that never saw WW2
- German “partisans” in fur hats and fedoras playable e.g. in Tunisia and Moscow
- Rzhev (1942-43) intentionally for BR1-5
- Chinese premium and event squads playablle e.g. in Ardennes and Tunisia
- “Zombie” Pz IV, “Halloween” Sherman, Devil decal, Samurai and Mad Hans in the main game
- “bloody” weapon skins, even though such kind of thing was mocked and laughed at with the “NFT” joke in 2022
- rumored certain German-made tank for Japan and very fast post-war planes
- now we have Jason Vorheers, Potman and Sharp Eye Chief in the event/game…
It’s really sad that we’ve been moving away from becoming “the ultimate WW2 game”, not closer to that title
Meanwhile, other WW2 games out there are adding Shanghai-Nanjing, Iwo Jima and Tobruk, respectively…

I was just having a nostalgia trip today, thinking to myself “Remember when WW2 games use to feel like WW2?” Like there’s a certain aesthetic of old school FPS WW2 games I like, and nowadays I feel there’s a certain ‘vibe’ that’s missing in mainstream FPS. And Enlisted was a bit close in that regard when I first started playing. They were only just a few tweaks away into reaching greatness as a combined arms multiplayer with a niche aspect for History buffs, featuring interesting weapons and vehicles that weren’t featured in other games, etc. But the road they’re heading makes feel that April’s fools joke announcement not seem so far fetched now, after seeing all these recent stuff. It could might as well happen on the next update and the devs would think it’s all fine.
We want WW2, why is that so difficult to understand for whoever is taking the decisions? It’s a serious question. If we wanted to see other wacky stuff we’d be playing other games. Simple as.

The historical issues left over from the merger have not been resolved, and there is no sign of them being resolved in the future. An insignificant event is launched to make money, and this cycle repeats. The players work hard every day for meager rewards, as if they are working for DF. Historical accuracy is a luxury.

It would be one thing if they actually rerolled the name of soldiers, that would be something. For the times when you get the perfect stats soldier but his name is just fugly

Yeah, 1% probability my ass. Every damn time its just worthless silver, orders, or some useless booster. Ive never gotten a squad, gun, or vehicle. Not once. What a joke.

Yet instead of giving it for free they go with adding them to veteran box where I’m more likely to get a whole ass event squad over a gun
