Unnerf US on Pacific

“The introduction of the select-fire M2 carbine in October 1944.”
So nope unless they want to time travel and bring Jumbo 76mm and Super Pershing along the way

The Sherman 76s didn’t really see combat in the pacific because they were designed to penetrate and fight German tanks with good armor, which the Japanese did not have. The Shermans in the Pacific were the short barreled 75mm type. M2 carbines also saw combat in the pacific during the end of the Pacific War around the battle of Okinawa, but since the Pacific campaign in enlisted does not reach that far, it should not be added.

Map campaign rotation will TRY to place ppl in correct eras… but won’t lock it. If br allows, m2 WILL be in Pacific, along ANY vehicle or equipment piece that their warthunder mechanic allows.

According to Keofox and devs anyway…

It will put Pacific in a strange place. Because some Japanese weapons are quite good, even if rare, like the 2 last smg unlocks… so if one Japanese smg is high br, say 7/10, then USA will be able to bring stuff with br rating 7 as well. If m2 is rating 7…

… then we will see them in Pacific.

That or devs will give Pacific a special treatment.

M2 Carbine will probably be locked out of Pacific for the time being as Japan doesn’t have stuff in the game to match the late game stuff. Once matchmaker gets added and Japan gets the equivalent equipment, they will probably also add Okinawa and Iwo Jima maps making the M2 Carbine completely fine inclusion.

Its matter of numbers.

Yes, the playerbase is the problem right now. The matchmaker and progression rework is the best bet at fixing it. However following that, there are a few other factors that we also have to take into consideration.

I was talking about guns stats.
After all, the predecessor of the MP40 is more accurate than a machine gun or an assault rifle.

Ah yes, the arbitrary dispersion stats. Only god knows when that is going to be fixed.

No, the Pacific campaign is a special place. That campaign portraits the war in pacific instead of single battle. So there is no problem of adding late war weapon in early war map and they already did such thing at the start.

Look how god damn hard i had to try to carry my god damn team, if up against any stacks it would be an instant lose.

and made all their best players rage quit near the end game. pacific allies u have to sweat insanely hard to win games. i had it way easier time playing japan and other factions. heck even normandy is more balanced than this

This has notjing to do with nerfing . Us have some of the best gear in the game when it comes to overwhelming firepower. Can easily match with high tier german and soviet stuff.
I played a lot with japanese in custom matches against german, soviet, us last gear stuff.
There is nothing that japan couldnt counter at primary weapons category maybe except assault weapons şike feodorov and stg44 . Espc after smg buff.
Real headache for japan is vehicles.
Us will have clear upper hand in new mm. The famous p38 tank destroying plane first came in 1938 so logically we will see that in pacific.
Japan doesnt have any standart issued rocket launching planes or tank that can match against us or uk. They dont even have any experimental/prototype vehicle that can logically counter mid tier allies.
You may say " but new mm will prevent that". Well this will create another issue.
Newbie uk and us players will often match with dedicated japanese mains and will be slapped hard like current situation.

Japan is fine for the Aircraft department even if you don’t want to add prototypes. While they don’t have anything on par with the P-38 for tank busting, their naval fighters can carry rockets similar to that of the WFRs the Germans have, while the army Aircraft can carry up to a rough equivalent to the payload of the P-51D’s 2x 500lb bombs in game right now. For tanks, so long as they cap the US at the M4A2 in the Pacific, Japan has tanks to counter. Chi Nu is on par with the Italian P40 in terms of numbers produced, and while the Chi To is the definition of a prototype tank, it was indeed built and and can counter things like the M4A2.

As for matchmaker, yes for now Japan will be capped at some of the earlier levels, but the devs have also stated that they will be adding more to that tree following the progression rework, so that is a problem that will be fixed in due time.

Chi ri maybe deal with jumbo but im not sure

If they can cap Japan to only facing the US at the first few levels for the time being, they can cap them to only facing M4A2s, which Japan can do without issue once they add the stuff that got left on the home islands. No reason to get them to face Jumbos and whatnot.

Your obsession of " thing that left home island" is amusing

Well, most of the fun Japanese armor that got produced fall in that category, and the devs already have models for the most important ones curtesy of War Thunder (Chi Nu, Chi To) so why would they not use them?

an unplayable shit campaign.
