Fire resistance should work as follows:
You walk into fire, your fire resistance triggers giving you half a second to get out. Afterwards it takes ten seconds to recharge. If you fail to exit the flames within the half second you burn. If you go out of the flames and then back in, you burn.
Being soaked increases your fire resistance to last two seconds but does not make you immune to catching fire from direct Molotov and flamethrower hits.
Learn to read I didn’t say too powerful I said a powerful tool. Stop crying for your only way getting easy kills the change is fine and it should stay.
It is somewhat odd that the flamethrower is a weapon that projects flaming fuel, not the flame itself, and that the burning fuel is extinguished on a wet surface.
Again sicne when this game was about realism. Are we going through this again? It’s stopped making sense a while ago people should just give up.
And since the actual flamethrower is injecting burning fuel, the projectile should be ejected as if spraying water with a hose.

Another big issue with them. You don’t even have to kill the enemy with one blast, you can effectively blind them with just a little spray. Then you can return to pick them off if the fire damage already hasn’t done the job.

The ability to sometimes not die to a flamethrower is more than ok in my book, I dont care what your effective mindset tells you.
It doesnt even stick to leaves and branches like a sticky liquid would do

How can you skillfully outplay a M2 Flamethrower?
Pretty much like anything else in this game, just shoot it.
Shoot, use nines to cover entrances, use frags, spam WP, grenade luncher, impact grenade, use flamethrower back, if you have it. Play as a team. Use common sense and anticipate.I use flamethrower and get killed. They are not invincible. Of course our soldiers are not john rambo. Casualties will happen, specially against the” BBQ man thrower”.
