Admittedly, I was not impressed with it at first.
It was, very different from all the other MGs I had used on here.
But, as I’ve learned its quirks and how to best deploy it , I’ve been doing much better with it as of late.
Sure its far from perfect but in controlled bursts ar range, I can effectively take out small waves of enemies.
I am looking forward to the next gun in the campaign for sure, but I am now enjoying (probably because they are fully upgraded) the Type 11.
I think the Japanese firearms can be a bit quirky because we have no real analogs in the other campaigns to them yet (early war stuff).
Minus the Type 1 because that is a Mannlicher in disguise.
Once you get comfortable with them, its easier.
And once I stopped trying to compare it to anything else in game, I started to learn it and how to use it.
Then immediately getting my head blown off because the bots are on some serious shit and somehow fire 5 rounds from a Springfield 1903 in a single trigger pull
Personally, I think it’s down to my playstyle. I like to use LMG in all types of situations. Mounting it and using it properly is only one of them. I guess I have a hard time coping with the fact that I cant use it like I’m using most of the LMG:s in the game.
It works fine hipfiring in trenches though.
Yeah, they kind of quirky, but I like most of them a lot.
Imma probably max star the Arisaka carbine as my main rifle because the sights are just like the SMLE and it’s dirt cheap. S1-100 on my medics and type 100 on any SMG soldier not in a medic or assault squad.
i like it way more than madsen, icant find anything wrong with it anyway
even historically it was advanced gun you know… it didnt need any magazine just stripper clips which is the peak of logistic efficiency during war like ww2
If I’m not mistaken the original idea was to have a LMG that can be fed with rifle clips. But there was some modifications made to it or something, I don’t remember.
