Type 11 LMG - piece of shit

This one has to be one of the worst, if not the worst, LMG in the game.
Holy shit.
Madsen and Breda feels like wunderwaffen now.

I keep giving it a chance, and will not stop using it. I like the sound of it and it feels kind of different, but, its terrible.
Even mounted.

Whats your experience of it?
Will soon unlock Type 97 with the optical sight. Cant wait to try that one out.

my experience with it has been one of amazement, mostly because people actually think at this LMG is bad when in reality it’s not

Admittedly, I was not impressed with it at first.
It was, very different from all the other MGs I had used on here.

But, as I’ve learned its quirks and how to best deploy it , I’ve been doing much better with it as of late.
Sure its far from perfect but in controlled bursts ar range, I can effectively take out small waves of enemies.

I am looking forward to the next gun in the campaign for sure, but I am now enjoying (probably because they are fully upgraded) the Type 11.

I think the Japanese firearms can be a bit quirky because we have no real analogs in the other campaigns to them yet (early war stuff).
Minus the Type 1 because that is a Mannlicher in disguise.
Once you get comfortable with them, its easier.
And once I stopped trying to compare it to anything else in game, I started to learn it and how to use it.

I actually kind a like it, the reload isn’t scuffed, it’s reasonably accurate, the sights could be better, but they could be a lot worse.

I had a mag of 27 and 7 in reserve, i opened the hopper put 30 rounds in closed the lid and the ammo vanished down to 7 rounds

I am in love with that mg. Killing waves of soldier while mounted on some rock from flanks.

Then immediately getting my head blown off because the bots are on some serious shit and somehow fire 5 rounds from a Springfield 1903 in a single trigger pull

It’s the way they implemented the reload, but they could have done a worse job. It could have the G41 reload multiplied by 3, so I’d rather take this.

Personally, I think it’s down to my playstyle. I like to use LMG in all types of situations. Mounting it and using it properly is only one of them. I guess I have a hard time coping with the fact that I cant use it like I’m using most of the LMG:s in the game.

It works fine hipfiring in trenches though.

Yeah, they kind of quirky, but I like most of them a lot.

The animation is cool.
Hide a lot of the screen.
MG need accuracy buff.

I would be very interrested if somebody have screenshots of the higher tier japanese LMG.

I like it, irl, it was the first MG I have put my hands on.

Imma probably max star the Arisaka carbine as my main rifle because the sights are just like the SMLE and it’s dirt cheap. S1-100 on my medics and type 100 on any SMG soldier not in a medic or assault squad.

They snuck into Germany on commando raid and stole Uber-pervitin.

97lmg is really a nice gun. but kinda requires people to shoot from a distance with vertical recoil perk. The most serious issue is still the damage.

So you think vertical recoil perk is the better one of them two?

It’s an absolute oddity. I really can’t understand what they were thinking with the “magazine” (?) feeding mechanism.

It’s why I love it.

It’s unique, a bit like the Breda. However unlike the Breda, it FEELS more accurate and has decent fire rate.

(But really, calling Madsen good is hyperbolic. Madsen is fun, but bad.)

Yype 11 LMG Its recoil force is strange. As a machine gun that fires 6.5mm bullets, its recoil force seems to be too large to control

i like it way more than madsen, icant find anything wrong with it anyway

even historically it was advanced gun you know… it didnt need any magazine just stripper clips which is the peak of logistic efficiency during war like ww2

If I’m not mistaken the original idea was to have a LMG that can be fed with rifle clips. But there was some modifications made to it or something, I don’t remember.

Still a very bizzare and unique mechanism. I love those.

Feels more like a ww1 firearm than a ww2 one however :stuck_out_tongue:
