Would it just be a slightly better version than the Type 11 but still Br 2?
In fact, this magazine does not look like a 35-round magazine at all, just compare it to the magazine from the Type 96 machine gun, given that the magazine from the Type 96 machine gun holds 5 rounds less. In fact, I am confused by the long magazine shaft, as well as the device to the right of the magazine 
. Could this be a similar system to the Johnson machine gun of 1941, when additional rounds must be loaded with the magazine already inserted?

A decent substitute for a Type 11 event weapon could be one of the earlier prototypes with the hotchkiss cassette-style loading system, or perhaps the Type 91 with the extended 45 round hopper magazine.
