most intense tunnel battles happened in pacific in ww2. like peleliu, iwojima, okinawa.
very unique type of warfare which was not presented in mainstream fps gaming except cod waw
imagine a map consist of mnt suribachi or some sector of it
japanese have 2-3 defensive objectives on the slope of mnt
the others are inside of mountain
japanese have 2-3 layered interconnected tunnel floors
not a horizontal but a vertical battle this time. americans trying to capture floors form ground to top meanwhile japanese are defending
i already see tons of barbed wire, AP mines and grenade spam. i dont think it would be fun.
those are the fun stuff already
not when you have HE spam PTSD. grenades would be too OP for tunnel warfare.
So, leave your little knife at home and grap your spade!
Spaten frei!
Haha, well done!
But temperatures are already high enough in this climate down there, so i’ll stick to the good ol’
CHOPPING TOUR.
Tunnel warfare is something that I really want to see from this campaign, along with other things. I also want to see some good foliage. These are jungle islands, and I’d like a lot of plant life to be used as cover and for hiding, it would make for some good guerilla warfare.
really it’s good in theory but knowing this community every tunnel is going to have 10 hedgehogs and an AA gun
Well…
Would be cool.
Up until the point you realize bots are a nightmare in tunnels.
Just… play the latest released Tunisia map in custom ( can’t remember the name, but it’s currently the only confrontation available in Tunisia. And technically, the only map with tunnels ).
So yeah. Things aren’t looking great.
( but I hope they will eventually fix their problems )
Try doing the old Counter Strike technique of A and D key spam while shooting and the bots simply breakdown, doing it with the buffed bolt actions if even more fun, held several squads on matches I played in Tunisia today.
yeah i forgot about AA guns… i already see people blocking tunnels with those…
Nah. I was referring to the path finding .
It’s horrible.
They either get stucked, or take a panoramic route.
