Too Busy Playing

Considering the difference in unlock level, the Grease gun is very good.

That’s a side effect of making a gun as cheaply as possible. The Thompson was very expensive, which is why the Grease gun replaced it from the middle of the war in terms of production.

My grandfather was initially issued it in the korean war. Said he ditched it for an M2 carbine at the soonest opportunity.

i consider the grease gun more effective than the german MPs for longer enagements, but that is also because i like terrible weapons which is why i’ve got a squad mostly filled with m1 carbines sooooo

hits hard and is fairly controllable. It’s not bad.

yep the only downside is the fairly slow firerate but still not bad of a gun

makes sense now why tanks get crazy amount of assist.

its been broken for quite some time.

Probably because people are too dumb to actually take out a tank. Learn how to range anti-tank guns and explo packs, and it’s fairly easy to take out tanks.

I got 10k points on the ground easily with proper infantry use because of tanks trying to camp up on hills.

People just need to practice and stop being bad lmao

I destroy tanks fine. Just wish I didn’t have to destroy and endless stream of them.

well try to destroy a tank with the german AT Pistol, bcs this weapon is trash

its pretty awful

The Piat is pretty junk too. The pure rarity of actually being in a position to be able to use it AND having it available is rare enough, then if you dont practice constantly it’s not going to accomplish anything. The only main upside to it is the fact you can easily circle a tank up close with infantry, so you can get into prime hsooting position but to get the range needed to NOT kill yourself will get you killed by the tank so it’s kind of a suicide-use or be-a-sniper type weapon from my experiences. Much easier to lob an explosive pack. If you can land the pack on top of any tank it’s boned.

I tend to do much better with those even if they have much less range.

PIAT has an insane reload compared to the sturmpistole. Both underperform IMO.

The only campaign with really viable anti-tank weapons for infantry is Berlin. They actually work reliably where as both Moscow and Normandy most people just suicide bomb tanks. You see a LOT more people using panzerfausts rather than suicide bombing in Berlin.

Are tanks even worth playing in Berlin? I haven’t played more than a few matches there yet, but it looked to me like a terrible tanking ground. Debris and fog forcing engagements at point blank, and enemy infantry can pop out of literally anywhere.

i say no since there is too many debris

They’re not worth it. I’v tried so much but it’s not meant for it. Berlin is mainly for close quarters infantry. The clustered buildings even makes planes useless a little more than half the time too.

Some areas it is super strong, some areas it is not good. In Berlin it feels to me you need to pick what squad is good for the moment. Tanks/ planes are a part of the choice for that moment and not a no brainer like other campaigns.

Grease gun is junky, man. Dat rate of fire gets really annoying. Close range it’s almost useless, rifles will one shot you, by the time you get few bullets off in that thing.

US side is gimped, when it comes to SMGs. I’m still grinding at like level 9 US.

and yet i’ve managed to go on a 19 killstreak without downing when using grease gun
