Tier V Japan will help matchmaking

There are a lot of problems with the current matchmaking/map assignment system, right now it overly favors Tier V America, and I think this is because of three main reasons.

First, almost all high tier Americans play tier V to avoid Japan, so you get a concentration of players at that BR. Second, Germany has its playerbase split between fighting USA and USSR at that tier. Last but not least, there’s the community-wide BR II/V split for Germany and Russia that USA doesn’t really have.

Once Japan gets a fifth tier, it should alleviate one of these issues and help the player concentration normalize between nations. Concentration at different BRs will still be a huge problem, but hopefully the steam launch will add enough new fodder at the bottom to give the first couple of BRs even games.

Even if steam add a ton of new players it will take a good amount time until they reach BR 5 unless they pay their way into it.

Germans still is the most all-rounded and powerful faction in this game, equipment-wise.

The American’s victory is related to the loss of players from the German faction, as well as the overly powerful mechanism advantage given to them by DF. The Americans even only cost 10 manpower to spawn a squad on some Normandy maps, while the Germans sometimes need 14.5, which is a huge advantage.Similarly, the speed of Americans occupying control points is also extremely fast, and they restore too much manpower when captured a new point.

Japanese equipment is completely insufficient to enter the BR5 game. They lack too many things. They don’t have an impact grenade, no well defended tanks, no universal automatic rifles, no assault rifles for assaulters, no good penetrate anti tank weapons, and no powerful aircraft like the P47 or Ju188. They have almost nothing.

If Japan really wants to join BR5, they can only let DF give them an extremely huge mechanism advantage, which is even more terrifying than the current mechanism in Normandy. The conventional 12.5 manpower squad is not enough. It should let the Japanese maintain a normal 9-10 manpower per squad and give them a greater advantage in occupying speed, so that the Japanese can capture flying fast and the Americans can only capture like turtles

A single event is enough for them to get BR3-5 gear and then be forced to play against BR5.

Sure but they would be more of a liability than help if the current playerbase is clueless they will be even more so for some time until they can get used to the game.

A huge advantage that is overlooked that Germany is mostly on the defense and has to face Soviets in urban while Americans in open maps.
Germany has to adopt to both entirely different fronts without any advantage while US and SU can spam always ideal weapons for the maps they are getting.

Yep. We are going to get a ‘fantasy’ BR V for Japan in the coming week or so. I trust it will be good and that is why I am not grinding any new weapons or vehicles for Japan up until this happens.

Yea, but Japan does not have enough weapons. They have a worse version of the M1 Garand at br4, while the M1 Garand is br3.

Why what’s the logic i think now is better to play Japan cuz you can get very fast to to Ki-61 you skip one BR cuz there is nothing on BR 3  So better take it before the BR V.

Yeah. That makes sense. But I am already max ranked on most of the tech tree unlocks for Japan. Plus I am grinding out the Western Allies so as to get the Pershing as and when it comes.
